Following The Plan Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly Run Down. This week, I hopped back into a Peloton strength and hiking split that I have done previously. It felt so good to get back on a plan. Here’s a peek into my week.

Following the plan Weekly Run Down

Sunday-core + weighted power walk

We had a taste of summer today! After a Peloton core class, I met a friend for our hilly weighted vest walk and catch up. Felt good to get back to my favorite walking loop ~3 miles. That afternoon, we worked on setting up our patio and pool area for the season.

Monday-core barre + upper body pull and hike

I finally chose a Peloton plan to do for the next few weeks. I’ve restarted Rebecca’s strength + hike split. This will give me 4 days a week of strength immediately followed by a tread hike. It was just the challenge I needed today. We are having a little heat wave and it was the perfect day for the first dip int he pool of the season.

Tuesday-lower body strength + hike + core

Day 2 of this week’s plan is going well. Today had me doing lower body strength followed by a 15 minute treadmill hike. I warmed up with a fab core class that uses the foam roller to really get into the deep core. If you are a Peloton user, add this one to your stack asap. If you have never used Peloton, I do have some 60 day free trial passes to share.

Wednesday-core + lower body strength & tread hike + Pilates

It was a solid morning workout today! It feels good to be sore again. I forgot how much I love this workout plan of strength followed by a tread hike. Later, it was mahjong with the girls!

Thursday-core + upper body push & tread hike + lower body Pilates

I do love a good heavy chest press! Today’s workout was a solid straight set followed by another tread hike. Later, I got a fun summer manicure even thought it is going to rain all weekend.

Friday-core + upper body strength & hike + arms and light weights

It felt great to finish this 4th strength and tread hike to round out the week. I finally feel like I am back on track enjoying this plan again.

Saturday -core + Pilates + stretch

I took it easy on the workouts today after an intense week. We spent the afternoon looking at new refrigerators. Our weather is horrendous with rain the foreseeable future unfortunately.
That’s all I’ve got this week!

I’m sure it feels great to get back on track with working out. It’s great having indoor options with the yucky weekend weather we’re having.

Thanks for Robin’s Peloton core class tip. I’ll give it a try!

Yay for pool pics! Amazing how one day it’s warm enough to swim and the next few days are rainy again. I love your nails!

That sounds like a cool program! It is fun to have a plan, rather than randomly selecting workouts every day. It seems like you’re over your jetlag and fully back to real life! Too bad about the weather for the weekend- I’m sure lots of barbecues have been canceled. Enjoy anyway!

I might give RK’s split/hike program a try — that foam roller core class is a killer.

    That manicure is so cute!

That workout plan sounds intense! I love the mani…reminds me of Minnie Mouse 😉 Ugh on your weather for the weekend! We’re enjoying real summer conditions (I feel like I’ve been waiting since September for them, LOL). I hope your weather forecast improves…

Great job getting back on track this week! Your nails look so cute! I’m sporting a buttery yellow polish right now. No designs, tho.

We just bought a new refrigerator–it’s got French doors and a giant freezer drawer, which is amazing. Nothing fancy, but checks all the boxes!

Cute nails!! I wish it was nice enough to open up our pool. Maybe next weekend. I look forward to a dip in the pool after my run. We were impressed with all of the technology in refrigerators these days. I hope you find a good one!

You are always so active even when you are not on track. And a lot of variety.

    No more running?

    If I didn’t I’d go crazy.
