Fall In NYC Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week I was again the plus one and got to spend some time in NYC. If it is not raining, fall is a great time of the year to visit New York City. I took advantage with lots of walking, shopping, arts and friends of course. Here’s a peek into my week.

Fall in NYC Weekly Run Down

Sunday-core

Any given Sunday! It was another rough one for the Philadelphia Eagles. My guys are not too pleasant to be around when this happens. Later, I took a friend out for high tea for her birthday which was very pleasant.

Monday-lower body & core + incline tread walk

I do love a strong Monday! Mine started out with a heavy lower body strength and core. After doing Rebecca’s program for a 2nd 6 weeks, I am now restarting Andy’s Advanced split for a few weeks. So far so good!

Tuesday-train to NYC

It’s an easy train ride to NYC form DC and we arrived in time for some pizza for lunch. Later, we walked and walked in the gorgeous weather before meeting some friends for dinner.

Wednesday-peloton core + walking

I attended a speech my husband was giving in the morning and then literally walked all over the entire city. He was off doing his things and I met my favorite New Yorker, Cari for lunch.

I hit up many of my favorite stores and then met my niece for coffee and catch up. At the end of the day, I’d walked over 7 miles.

Thursday-Peloton upper body and stretch

After securing my NY bagel, I hit the hotel gym for an upper body pull class. Later, we walked all around the city again to add another 6 miles  to our step count. That night we joined a friend at The Met Opera house to see La Bohéme. It’s a gorgeous venue and my photos don’t do it justice. The music is gorgeous, the set was really spectacular and it’s always lovely to see people appreciating the arts. Why does everyone always have to die in an opera?

Friday-train home to DC

We hopped on the train for our 3 hour trip back to DC. It was pouring rain all afternoon and evening so not much happening around here.

Saturday-Pilates core + upper body push strength

It felt good to get back at today with my peloton upper body strength and Pilates core.

It was a busy and productive week with a nice few days in NYC with gorgeous fall weather. Hope you had a good one as well!

It sounds like you had a fantastic time in NYC – glad you had beautiful weather and got to meet up with both Cari and your niece! We didn’t see the rain this far west that you saw on Friday, though it was forecast all afternoon with the possibility get severe storms. We did wake up to frost this morning, though!
