thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week, my main goal was to get back to a routine again. I really thrive on having a set schedule and was anxious to get back to mine. I’m aiming to for frequency over volume this week. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and life.

Getting Back To A Routine
Sunday-full body strength + core
I am slowly getting my sleep schedule back on track after Japan. Hopefully, a few more days should do it. I have not picked out a Peloton strategy or plan on what to do next so I was kind of winging it today and picked a new full body class. Later, my son and his girlfriend came over for dinner. It was great to see them after a few weeks! I was so happy to have a plate of grilled veggies with my fish.
Monday-core + full body strength + tread walk
It was Monday around here! Our refrigerator started leaking, the landscaper broke a pipe connected to our sprinkler system, our AC tune up appointment was today and of course arrived right at the same time I had a zoom call with my OB?GYN. I had to take the call in my bathroom so the AC guy wouldn’t hear my consult. LOL it was quite the day! However, I did get back into my routine and got a good workout in.
I couldn’t decide which Peloton program to do so I opted for the AI chosen program. You input how many days you want of strength and cardio etc and Peloton creates you a routine with numerous class choices for each day. So, far I am impressed with what was chosen for me.
Tuesday-Peloton lower body Pilates + power walk
In between dealing with the above mentioned refrigerator issue, today’s Peloton plan called for a power walk and Pilates class. I’m continuing to get back on track and back into my routine. I’m finally back to the right time zone!
Wednesday-upper body strength + core
Still a little jet lagged, this workout felt hard. I got it done though! Later, it was fun to return to Mahjong after a few weeks and even win a few games. It was also our 31st anniversary. Our trip was really our anniversary celebration however, my husband did send me these beautiful flowers.
Thursday-tread hike + core
It feels good to get back to my routine and this was a tough hiking class. I’m no green thumb at all and I do leave the real the landscaping to the professionals. However, I was very proud of myself for getting these pretty bougainvillea into their pots out back. I also love calla Lillies at the front door.
Friday-lower body strength + power walk + core
I am officially back to my time zone nailing a good sleep score! A lower body strength class + core was a great start to my day. Later, I met a friend for my hilly neighborhood walk with my weighted vest. Aah, that felt great!
Saturday-Pilates
I’m loving the new harder Pilates classes with the torture devices (rings, balls and bands). They are great core work! I spent the rest of the day getting our patio area ready for the season. We then took our son and his girlfriend out to dinner for his birthday. Feels good to be back in my routine!

Recovery from a trip to Asia sounds tough! With such a difference in time zones–I can’t imagine. I haven’t even travelled, and my Oura ring has been unhappy with my sleep for a couple of weeks now lol.
Great job on all your workouts!
It was tough adapting but defintiely worth it! Oura and I have a love hate relationship sometimes
Happy anniversary and happy birthday to your son!
I haven’t look at the Peloton AI-generated plans — maybe I will check them out.
Glad you are getting back on track with the time zone/sleep — that struggle is real!
The struggle is real! I think I am finally back
Oh no on the things that went wrong on Monday, and it’s good that the refrigerator didn’t leak while you were away. That could have caused a lot of damage. And despite all those annoyances, doesn’t it feel great to get back into your routine?
Happy belated anniversary! BTW, those grilled veggies look delicious!
It always feel good to back to my routine and my bed
HAHA on taking the OBGYN call in the bathroom! I would have done the same!
The flower bouquet you got looks amazing – did you give anything to your husband? Ours is coming up next week and I need ideas!
I did not give my husband anything this time. I figure being married to me for 31 years is a gift LOL. Happy anniversary to you both!!
Yeah, that WAS a Monday, LOL. I’ve had to take personal calls in obscure places for the same reason…AWKWARD! Looks like you’re rallying back nicely from the Japan experience. Happy Anniversary!
Ha yes on the bathroom phone call lol. Thanks feels good to be back on track
Yes, I’ll bet it feels good to be back and on a regular schedule. I’m the same way- travel is fun, but I like to get myself back on track ASAP.
Those flowers are beautiful- the ones from your husband- but the ones you planted are pretty too. I love bougainvillea.
Nice job with all the workouts!
Thanks and yes it does always feel good to get back to a schedule and my own bed
Happy belated anniversary!!! love the flowers!
and lol to the bathroom call – not a bad idea!
that plate of veggies looks DELICIOUS!
Sometimes you have to pivot!
I also try to get back to a routine after travel asap. Happy anniversary! 31 years is amazing!
Thanks it is a long time!
We have been all out of sorts over here, too, and it definitely feels great to be mostly back to normal (ish).
Happy anniversary and welcome home from your big Japan adventure! It looked incredible!
We have graduation today, so that’s going to be an adventure all its own!
Congratulations to all of you! Thats a huge milestone
what an amazing trip. Must be hard to get back into any routine. You do it so seamlessly.
I do need to get started on my gardening. First it was too cold and now too hot. LOL
