July 2026 ultimate Coffee Date
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
Exercise always has its rewards! I linked my Oura and my Peloton to my United Healthcare account to earn rewards for exercising. A few weeks ago I noticed that I had accrued the maximum amount of $300. Well, I treated myself to a super cute Rebecca Minkoff raffia bag from Bloomingdale’s. Yay me! It’s perfect for summer and I can honestly say, I earned it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…
I would age myself by saying something like,”what is wrong with kids these days!” Last weekend, around 11 pm on a Friday night, there was a knock at the door. I was expecting my daughter to arrive via Uber from the airport and I thought it was her. I looked out the window and saw her Uber car so I opened the door. Much to my surprise there was a group of 4 young teen boys standing there. They asked if it was “okay to jump in our pool!?”. Umm, no it is not okay.

These were not kids of my neighbors any one I have ever seen before. I can’t believe they would just come up to someone’s door at 11 pm and ask that.I would be mortified if my kids ever did that! We were really just shocked.
Happy Fourth of July and 250th to America! Stay cool out there it’s a toasty one everywhere. If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

What?? They rang the bell at 11pm to ask politely if they could jump into your pool??? 😂😂
I have to admit, part of me is tempted to say I would have let them! At least they asked instead of just sneaking in. Still, the confidence to knock on a stranger’s door that late is wild!
Yes pretty gutsy!!
Whaaat? Just asking a stranger to jump into the pool? That’s insane!!! I mean, if it would have been friends of your kids, but….. just no.
I also feel that age thing about kids nowadays by the way.
That looks like a nice roomy bag perfect for summer adventures!
Yes we were pretty surprised too!
Well, at least they asked first. LOL My “What is wrong with kids these days” is the eBike situation around here. I saw FOUR kids on ONE eBike cross a very large intersection during rush hour on Wednesday afternoon. Only one kid was wearing a helmet (the driver) and as he pulled out, the bike started weaving. I really thought they were going to crash!
Happy Independence Day!
Yes, the E bikes and the scooters really scare me sometimes when I see them weaving in and out of traffic
I would love to know the backstory behind the pool request. Was it a dare? Were they drunk? Obviously no one is going to let strangers jump in their pool!!! That’s crazy.
My husband has some sort of rewards program through work where he links his Garmin and earns points. He’s gotten all kinds of cool things from it, including a new Garmin! Your bag is perfect for summer, and yes you definitely did earn it!
They seemed on the younger side so I think not drunk but perhaps a dare. I’d love to know the backstory as well
Wow, that is a great reward! Nice perk!
OMG on the late-night pool request. It sounds like a drunk dare. But, um, no!
Stay cool this weekend!
They seemed too young to be drunk but who knows!?
OK that pool request is just wild…kinda mind-blowing that they would even think to ask.
That is a great perk! Such a cute bag and perfect for the summer.
Yes it was kind of crazy!
Very cool reward for your hard work! I’ll have to see if our plan has something like that!
That is CRAZY. Back in our day, we’d have just jumped in where someone wasn’t home – lol
Happy 4th! Stay cool.
Yes I did earn this one for sure!
Wow, those kids! Thats crazy! That bag, though is sweet 🙂
I know!
That’s so cool that you get rewards for exercising by linking your health care account! Kinda wishing mine had that option too, hehehe.
The audacity on those kids, haha. I can’t imagine thinking that’d be something I’d ever do at any age! (Definitely bold of them though! Maybe a dare?)
Who knows what they were up to!
Kids are doing all kinds of bold things like that. Lots of aggressive banging on doors at night, and early morning ding dong ditch. I’m terrified because I’m in a Castle Doctrine state and our area has a lot of trigger happy people. Someone is going to knock on the wrong door and it’s not going to go well. The pool request is absolutely unhinged.
We have not had anything like that happen with kids before so very surprising
Very cute bag. Excellent decision
We just switched off United and I’m very much going to miss that $300/year. I bought the winnie the pooh Brooks with my last spend.
So weird with the kids
Was excited about the bag and thanks for the tips on how to get more points
