Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down today. This week was about cruising through and checking things off of my to do list for the wedding. You know I kept up my fitness as well. Here’s a peek into my week.

Cruising through the week Weekly Run Down

Sunday-planned rest day core + barre

Today was a planned rest day after a late night out of eating and drinking way too much. I got in my Peloton core and a short barre class.

Monday-core + full body strength

I was really not feeling it today. My stomach was kind of crampy and I was tired. Today was a day were discipline took over and I got it done.

Tuesday-standing core + power walk

No one was happier than me today when the temps hit the high 40’s. Walking outside without a jacket and gloves was a gift! The sidewalks are still a mess in some places but I was excited to have a longer walk.

Wednesday-core + full body strength

A good solid strength workout today. Nothing remarkable to report. That afternoon, it was Maj Jong day and I won a game yay. Finally, getting the hang of this!

Thursday-core + tread hike

This new piece of equipment has offered some new challenges for my home workouts. It transforms any dumbbells to a bar bell and I’m loving it so far. I hope to do a full review for next week.

I am surprised & thrilled to have been selected by Peloton to do a Beta test of their new personal training program. This companion app will assign me a real personal trainer who will schedule my peloton classes for me to assist me in meeting my goals. I was excited to have my first chat with Jessi and can’t wait to see what he creates for me. I will keep you updated!

Friday-upper body strength + power walk + core

These were the first workouts chosen for me by Jessi. So far so good. Later, I met my little sister for a lunch and shopping.

Saturday-core + Pilates + power walk

I enjoyed my morning core and Pilates class before heading out to do another fitting for my dress for the wedding. It’s finally ready! Later, I met a friend for a walk ahead of our next storm Sunday night. It was 52 degrees and sunny and pretty hard to believe more snow is coming. The weather forecasters seem quite confused as well! We are either be getting 2-4 inches or 2 feet LOL. I’m kind of over this winter!

Apparently, tomorrow’s storm has been very difficult to forecast with the models all showing extremely different amounts of snow. A local guy I follow on FB thinks we’ll get around 6 inches. Earlier in the week he was saying it could be between 3 and 36 inches depending on which model you believed. LOL I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to see so much of the snow gone by the time we got home! As much as I love snow, I am done and ready for spring.

I bet your dress is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see pictures!

Getting picked for the beta testing is HUGE. So cool!! What an awesome surprise and honestly such a perfect fit for you.
Have you noticed anything different about the classes he’s choosing compared to what you would normally pick for yourself?

How exciting to be picked to trial Peloton’s new feature! As a dedicated and long-time user, I’m sure you’ll have lots of great feedback!

I saw my sister this week, too! There’s nothing better. And just say NO to more snow. I can’t believe how much snow you’ve gotten this week!

Sounds like you had a great week- that’s exciting about the Peloton program. And, I’m intrigued about the barbell… thing? I don’t know what to call it, but it’s a great idea. I’ll be interested to read your review.
Good luck with the storm. I know you guys don’t want winter to return up there, but we need some cooler temps down here! I’m not ready for the heat yet.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/22/2026 at 1:18 pm

I am liking the barbell to add some variety to my home workouts. Yes, excited to be in the beta test

That’s exciting about the Peloton gig! Congrats 😉 I did that 20-minute Tunde workout yesterday, and thought it was good (but I love almost any workout she teaches). I’m hoping to get out for a walk this afternoon…I have a couple of basketball games to watch first. Maybe I can sneak out during each of their halftimes (with the weighted vest!).

    • Deborah Brooks says

      02/22/2026 at 1:19 pm

      I like that plan!

  9. Susanne says

That is so exciting about the beta testing! Is he going to give you custom workouts or schedule from already existing classes?
So glad you got some proper walking outside weather! I hope the storm stays away.

That barbell adapter bar is quite interesting! Congrats on the beta test program. That’s very exciting! You’re a great choice for the program.
I hope you see more sidewalk than snow when you wake up Monday morning!!

I’m really glad you were picked for the beta test, so now I can ask you for all the details!

We barely beat the snow driving north today — it was a bit messy in northern NJ — phew.
