Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week we enjoyed some serious relaxing time on Nantucket, known as ACK to the locals. I loved the sea air and cool breeze. The temps were just perfect in the 70’s and such a nice relief from the heat at home. Here’s a peek into my week. There was not too much fitness but a lot of good friend times and a lot of relaxing. I also pulled out all of my New England preppy clothing for the week.

Sunday- core class

There was not too much going on today and that was just how we planned it. We walked around town, enjoyed the scenery and a long leisurely lunch. It was a beautiful sunset by the wharf.

Monday-Peloton Pilates and afternoon walk

We lounged around by the pool in the morning and then took an afternoon walk around the beautiful houses by the beach.

Tuesday-walk around town

My friend and I spent all day walking around downtown Nantucket and browsing in all the charming little stores. We relaxed around the pool in the afternoon. A perfect vacation weather day. We met some other friends who are also vacationing here for a fun dinner party.

Wednesday-rest day

Another relaxing day living the island life. We met another group of friends for dinner tonight at a beautiful spot right on the water.

Thursday-lower body strength + upper body strength and standing core

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to use a gym where a friend was staying. I’m all for relaxing but after a few days I really needed to get into a gym and lift something heavy. Today’s workout was just what I needed to power through the rest of the week of vacation.

Friday-morning power walk + standing core

My friend and I took a nice breezy morning beach walk dreaming about all the waterfront houses we could live in when we win the lottery,  Peloton standing core class for the win and great balance work. One last ice cream come at the Juice Bar.

Saturday-fly home + full body strength and core

I knew I “needed” to get in a good workout this afternoon before laundry and repacking. It was nice to get back to my home gym for a full body strength and core. I’m going to feel that one tomorrow while I’m sitting on my nest flight.

We have a quick turn around with just enough time to drop our Nantucket clothes off and grab the next (yes already packed) bags for phase 2 and 3 of our summer adventures. Stay tuned for that in next Weekly Run Down. I will also “see you” for the September Ultimate Coffee Date next Friday the 4th.

How lovely! Sometimes it’s really nice to have some downtime and simply enjoy time with friends.

It’s interesting how, after a few days of taking it easy, the body starts craving some more vigorous movement again. Nice that you could make use of that spacious gym, too.
