thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week I was back on my Peloton bike after a long hiatus and it felt good. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and the start of vacation.

Sunday-Pilates core

Today was a planned rest day with some Pilates core thrown in for the streak. I spent the rest of this super rainy day starting to pack for our upcoming travel adventures. We have a few back to back trips so I have to be very strategic in my packing.

Monday-lower body strength + climb ride + power walk

I decided to try Tunde’s new strength + cycle class this week. I’m kind of missing my Peloton bike and want to be strategic in my workouts this week before we go out of town. She did not mess around with the tough lower body strength followed immediately by a climb ride. I then met a friend for a 3 miler and it was toasty!

Tuesday-power walk + reformer Pilates

Since it was only 82 this morning I got in my long walk before heading to another reformer Pilates class. I wanted to get one more in before I leave for vacation this weekend. I’m enjoying all the core work!

Wednesday-upper body strength + Peloton bike + power walk

Wow this new strength + bike program is no joke. Tunde does not mess around. A few AMRAP and EMOM sets added to the spice. I headed out for a power walk afterwards to shake out my legs. Later, it was Mahjong day again with the girls.

Thursday-Pilates sculpt

It was another stormy day around here. My morning walk turned into me deciding to clean all of the cushions on our couch with my Bessel little green machine. I did a Pilates sculpt class at home before heading out to visit my parents for a few hours.

Friday-full body strength & core + bike intervals + power walk

Today’s workout was spicy! While the first 2 strength workouts of the week were heavy lifts, today’s class was more conditioning and cardio with medium weights. When we transitioned to the Peloton bike for intervals, that’s when it got serious. When Tunde said, “this part should really feel disgusting”, I couldn’t have agreed more. What a tough 20 minute finisher. A short walk to shake it off followed.

Later, we met my son and his girlfriend’s family that are in town visiting. It was actually a beautiful day around here and we had a nice time together.

Saturday-leave for Nantucket, Mass

We are excited to be in one of our happy places again and looking forward to hanging out with our friends for the next few days.

“This part should really feel disgusting” is definitely not the kind of workout description you want to hear, but it sounds like a great challenge!! 😂 Great job at getting all the Pilates in, too!

    Enjoy Nantucket!
