Thanks for joining Kim and me for The Weekly Run Down today. I think I say this every week but wow this week just flew by. Not too much going on except that it’s my birthday week. My husband and I actually share a birthday week as his is tomorrow. We are celebrating at home this year of course. Here is a peak into my week of workouts.
Weekly Run Down it’s my birthday
Monday- 10 m core + 20 m arms + 10 m glutes
Can’t remember why I did not do any cardio today! I must have gotten distracted by something.
Tuesday-4.2 mile run + core and stretch
It was in the 70’s by the time we finished our run. I struggled with the heat a bit. Definitely a cold weather runner lover.

Wednesday- Peloton cycle 40 min + stretch + core + upper body stregth
Wednesday is always my biggest workout day. Loved the Beyoncé Peloton class-great motivation. I also did a virtual bike fitting appointment for my Peloton. I had seen a bunch of people chatting about it in one of my Peloton groups. It was really interesting and the coach switched up a bunch of my settings on the seat and on my shoes. Hopefully, I will feel a big difference.
Thursday-4.5 mile run + core class
Another rainy day run over here, I actually have had some of my best runs lately in the rain. Go figure! A couple of my friends took me out to dinner. We enjoyed a nice outdoor meal and it actually felt like normal times for a few minutes. A nice escape.
Friday-core + bike boot camp 45 min + 3 mile walk
Love these bike boot camps!
I received my first holiday gift from my secret blogging elfster. This sure will be a year to remember!
Saturday- it’s my birthday run! 6 miles + core + stretch
I woke up to a gorgeous day! Last year, I was injured on my birthday and not able to run. I am so very thankful that I am able to run pain free again. It’s the little things right now that make me happy. The hubs and I will be enjoying a nice bottle of wine along with some yummy take out from one of our favorite restaurants. And of course, there will be some chocolate cake.
Sunday-rest day
Taking it easy today!
Overall, a pretty quiet week. Can’t complain. Both of my kids will be coming home this week and I cannot wait to see them! What are you looking forward to this week?

I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!! Enjoy your visit with your kids.

Adjusting my bike seat made a huge difference! These long legs gotta be free to move LOL Glad your bday was great:-)
Deborah Brooks says
OH good! You should be much more comfy on there 🙂 I am always surprised what difference little seat adjustments can make
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
It sounds like you had the best birthday possible under our current conditions! Happy birthday to Matt!
Thanks for the linkup and have a great week!
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks Deb 🙂

I’m intrigued by the virtual bike fitting. I’m curious to know if you feel a difference.
Glad you had a good birthday and yay for your kids coming home this week!
Deborah Brooks says
I found it really helpful! Let me know if you’d like the info on it
Montana @ Pretty Lil Mudder says
How cool to share the same birth week with your hubs! Ours are like two weeks apart plus a few years haha- which I like to constantly remind him of when I want to be annoying 😉
A virtual fitting sounds interesting! I guess they are finding ways to make everything virtual these days aren’t they? Never again will people complain about technology, ha!
Deborah Brooks says
OH I never forget to remind my hubs that he is 4 years old than me 🙂
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Glad you were able to make the best of your birthday this year! Its crazy to think we had 70 degree weather just a few days ago and now its back to feeling like fall. Enjoy your visit with your kids!
Deborah Brooks says
I know it’s crazy! I like the cooler temps anyway 🙂
Beckett @ Birchwood Pie says
Happy Birthday! 6 miles is a great present!
Deborah Brooks says
I am very happy with it! thanks
Cari says
Happy birthday to both of you. At least you had a baseline for what he got you first in that always awkward “first birthday of a relationship” dance.
Wordpress was having image issues for me too. Glad I’m not the only one who can’t remember the whys of early in the week activities. Yay for the gift of pain free running.
Deborah Brooks says
ha ha on the gifts this year we just skipped them. A month in Aruba is our gift. 🙂
Cari says
And a perfect one at that
I pretty much only get gifts for the kids. We don’t need anything, and as cliche as the “our presence” is, it’s kind of true. Last year I asked for and got Honey Stinger Cherry Blossom chews as they were on sale near my brother. It’s the little things
Deborah Brooks says
especially this year yes it is!
Jessie says
Happy birthday Deborah! Glad you could celebrate with a run this year. Awesome week!
Thanks for hosting the link-up!
Deborah Brooks says
I was so happy to be able to run as well! Best present
Coco says
Happy Birthday! I’m looking forward to my birthday! 🙂
Very cool on the Peloton fitting. I know having things positioned correctly can make a huge difference! What did they adjust on your shoes?
LOL on getting distracted from doing cardio.
Deborah Brooks says
they had me move my cleats down and to the inside more slightly so the ball of my foot would be exactly over the pedal. Raised my seat 2 more settings and seat back more. We also went over some pedal stroke things and positioning when standing. I thought it was really worth it
Kim G says
I’m glad that adjusting the bike worked! Hope you had a very happy birthday celebration this weekend 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks low key but happy. The bike fit was interesting and I think will be very helpful

My hubby and I share a birthday month.
That’ll be great seeing your kids again.
I’m looking forward to recovering from a very hard half marathon (and painful blister). lol
Deborah Brooks says
Yes I cannot wait to see them miss them so much right now
Zenaida Arroyo says
Talk to me about the virtual bike fitting appointment for your Peloton. What made you book an appointment?
Enjoy the time with your kids!
Deborah Brooks says
I had seen a bunch of people talking about it in a Peloton group I am in. I always wondered if I was in the most efficient position. They had me move my cleats around on my shoes as well. I really found it helpful and she gave me a bunch of good tips on pedal stroke as well.
Chocolaterunsjudy says
Mmmm. Chocolate cake. 🙂 Happy Birthday again! How nice to have nice weather for it (mine’s in Feb, it’s rarely nice).
Interesting about the virtual bike fittings — I bet that will help a lot!
The little things are so important. Noticing them even more so!
I am REALLY looking forward to an unclogged sink today. Everything below the sink is on the counters, can’t really wash anything, it’s been a total PITA.
Deborah Brooks says
OH my hope that all works out ok!
Jenn says
Happy birthday! I love all the blogger birthdays this month!
Great job running on your birthday, too. That’s always fun.
I hope you have the best time with your kids! How nice that will be for all of you!
