**Updated for 2021***I have been an avid Peloton fan since acquiring my bike 2 years ago. While I started out primarily doing cycle classes, I soon discovered the wealth of other classes available. Today, I am sharing the Best Peloton Running and Fitness Classes chosen by veteran Peloton users.
The Best Peloton Running and Fitness Classes
Outdoor Running/Walking
From power walks to outdoor HIIT runs, there are options from 20 to 60 minute classes to keep you entertained and motivated.
Fan favorite Robin’s 30 min HIIT Run and Chase’s 30 min Intervals Run with 25 minutes of intense intervals, upbeat music, and engaging chit chat. Looking for a lower impact Power Walk? Check out Olivia’s 20 min power walk.
Running Programs
Just starting out or returning to running? Check out the 2 Week outdoor running program to guide you through. There are 3 guided marathon training programs and a Go The Distance 3 weeks program.
Treadmill running
Jess Sims and Adrian seem to be the most popular for treadmill runners looking for a consistent challenge indoors.
Cycling
Alex’s Club Banger 45 minute rides have a cult following. The hip hop playlists and high energy that always deliver a high intensity workout.
Power Zone Classes have a huge mass appeal from avid outdoor cyclists to newbies with Matt and Denis being fan favorites. There is a 4 week program to guide you through how to learn from your metrics and increase your endurance. Learn how to maximize your endurance for higher output.
From Climb rides to HIIT rides to 80’s rock music rides, Denis’ classes are personal favorites and they do not disappoint. Denis brings his humor and his encouragement to all of his rides. Whichever, of his classes you choose, the music is paired perfectly to the cadence of the ride to keep you motivated.
Special collections and artist series
Peloton is constantly adding new artist series to their library. You can find those at the top of your bike under “collections”. Recent series include Elvis and The Beetles to name a few. These specially themed classes usually have a cycle, strength and yoga option.
Strength Training
Just starting out? Total Strength with Andy will guide you through a 4 week progression.
My favorite strength training classes are Chase’s. From his 10 minute arms to 30 min advanced lower body workouts, he does not mess around. Mix and match to suit your needs. Some are just body weight exercises while others require dumbbells. Solid workouts every time!
Jess’ 30 min bodyweight classes and her new Flash 15 classes have a huge fan base and her energy is contagious. Recommended for those with prior strength training under their belt looking for a more advanced class.
Yoga
Many of my running friends swear by Denis’ 10 min yoga for hips. Started doing them daily myself and they really help. Looking for a more zen yoga class? Restorative Yoga with Ross and Atiti at bed time to decompress from the day are a treat. Chelsea Jackson Roberts, relative new comer to Peloton has quickly amassed a huge following. Here gentle but oh so knowledgeable approach attracts many new comers and experienced yogis.

Core
Looking to start building your core? Check out Emma’s 4 week Crush Your Core program with classes ranging from 5-10 minutes daily. Easy to fit into any schedule. For tougher core classes, Matty and Robin have hundreds of 10 minute core classes to challenge you.
Bike Boot Camps
New for fall of 2020, Peloton Bike Boot Camps filled a need for those users who wanted to jump into a Bootcamp style class without a treadmill. Workouts have you switching between the bike and the floor to combine strength and cardio. Classes range from 30 min to 60m often with a focus of upper body or core for example. Find a full review of Boot Camps here.
Meditation
Need a little more zen in your life? Check out the 2 week introduction to meditation geared toward better sleep. Gaining in popularity, there are now classes ranging from 5-15 min wth themes from Chelsea, Aditi and Ross. Full review of the 2 Week Peloton Sleep Meditation app here.
Pilates and Barre
Missing your studio barre or pilates classes? Peloton has newly debuted these 2 new modalities into their ever expanding library.
Clearly, I could go on and on! Hope this round up gave you some ideas on the best Peloton Running and fitness classes. With so much variety, there is something for everyone.

I think they’re great. My only problem is that the outdoor running ones need WiFi even if you download them first. And I don’t have unlimited data.
I haven’t tried the indoor ones. Right now I am enjoying leaving my work desk and escaping.
Deborah Brooks says
Interesting about the wifi I did not know that. I am sure leaving your work desk is key to your sanity!

I wonder if it will still be available for free after the end of the month. Most states have extended their stay at home order so it will be interesting to see what Peloton offers. I am glad they are offering it for others to check it out. From what I’ve been reading in posts, many seem to like it.
