Quick & Easy Tuna Cobb Salad
Healthy eating does not have to be complicated or boring. Having a few go to easy ideas in your repertoire always helps. Hopefully, this Tuna Cobb Salad will be one of them.
Why tuna?
Tuna is one of those powerhouse protein sources that is oh so versatile. A 3 ounce serving has 20 grams of protein. In addition, it packs a punch of Omega-3’s and vitamin B-12. As such, it’s a great lean protein source. Look for wild caught, high-quality tuna.
What ingredients do I need?
With just a few ingredients, you can mix up this delicious salad in minutes. The key ingredients are:
- 3 -4 ounces of tuna
- 2-3 cups of chopped lettuce of your choice
- 1/4 C Blue cheese
- 1 hard boiled egg diced
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- sprinkle of cheese crisps or croutons (optional)
Can I sub out any of the ingredients?
Absolutely! That’s the great thing about this salad. It is quite versatile. Anything goes!
- Sub out tuna for any lean protein (salmon, chicken, tofu)
- sub out blue cheese for feta or any cheese
- croutons or cheese crisps give a nice crunch
- add walnuts or seeds

I keep lots of tuna on hand for really quick salads. LOVE! The combination with the egg and blue cheese is divine! Too bad the hubs doesn’t like me keeping “stinky” cheese in the fridge ! (i would definitely easy sub feta in this).
