Trick or Treat Halloween Workout For The Whole Family

If you are anything like me, those cute little mini Halloween candies start calling your name as soon as they hit the shelves. What’s a girl to do? I’ve come up with a Halloween workout to help keep you moving while enjoying the fun of the weekend.

Here’s how it works~ Whether you are staying at home answering the door or out trick or treating with kids, you can perform this fun workout to “trick” yourself to keep up your activity and enjoy those “treats”.  See the costume on the list and perform the corresponding exercise. Simple enough for the whole family to do. At any rate, it will give the neighbors something to talk about!!

My other “tricks” to survive Halloween:

-Don’t buy candy until the day of Halloween. Out of sight out of mind. They will not run out of candy at the store.

-Buy candy that you don’t like (less temptation)

-Donate all your left over candy to the troops or a shelter

What’s your plan to stay active this Halloween? Have any “tricks” of your own to share?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

You need to add “kid not wearing a costume” LOL We get a ton of those.

And i will be buying candy on Friday afternoon. Not eating dairy should help me stay away…

    • Deborah Brooks says

      10/29/2014 at 8:49 am

I always think they have no right to ask for candy if they are not in costume!
