Thanks for joining Sarah and me for Meatless Monday today. Tis the season for entertaining! My new easy and delicious party staple is the amazing Cheese Board. Everyone loves to snack on them and they are easily customizable. With just a few minutes of prep, you can wow your guests with a Pinterest Worthy Cheese Board.
How To Create A Pinterest Worthy Cheese Board
Start out with a great canvas. I like to use a marble board like this one or this round one however any large platter will do.
Add 4-6 types of cheese with varying textures (hard and soft) and tastes (mild and sharp). I always like to include a Brie because everyone loves Brie. Cheeses flavored with seasonal items like cranberries juxtaposed with a spicy flavored cheese wins over everyone.
Pile on all the crackers. I like to mix in some breadsticks for visual effect and a combo of square and round crackers. A blend of rice crackers and wheat crackers works well for those with any gluten free requirements.
Sweet and salty is a fabulous combination and all great cheese boards also have some sweet fruits such as grapes, apples or pears.
Now it’s time for a little crunch and texture. Mixed nuts, olives and snack mix are tasty additions that everyone loves to snack on. If you want to get a little daring, add some chocolate covered almonds or cashews as I did here. Really anything goes that you have in your pantry.
In just a few minutes time you have a Pinterest Worthy Cheese Board your family and friends will gobble up. Now all you need is some great red and white wine to pair with it but that’s a whole other post isn’t it?!
Tell me-are you hosting Thanksgiving, Christmas or Hanukkah this year? What are some of your go to appetizers to serve to friends and family?

Cheese is always a winner at parties-thanks
This is a pinterest worthy cheese board for sure!!! So pretty!
Thanks Annmarie! Have a great week
That looks fabulous! I’ve been looking for a marble platter like that. Where did you get yours? I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year and traveling for the rest of the holidays.
Thanks! I got this one from Williams Sonoma I use it quite a bit for food photos and for serving
I swear you are one of the most creative people I know! This is genius and when I have my sister aka Martha Stewart over to my house, I’ll be ready!
Thanks! You could throw this together and wow her when she visits
I love this- I stink at making cheese boards- I am so visually challenged! This is a great template to follow!
Thanks! I was surprised by how easy it was and packs a punch visually. Try it out you can do it!
Yaass! A pretty cheese board is such a crowd pleaser. This is my favorite thing to put together for a crowd. 🙂
It is a crowd pleaser!
Perfect timing for the upcoming holiday season! Wensleydale cheese with apricots is one of my cheese board favorites! 🙂
Ooh that does sound delicious too!
This looks so pretty and it’s so much cheaper to make than buying the pre-made ones in the grocery store!
oh definitely way cheaper and will look much better when you can customize it
Pinterest-worthy, indeed! Your tray looks absolutely beautiful! We host BOTH Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (how on earth did that happen???) My husband is the cook in the family, but adding some snacks and trays like these will make things pop just a little more!
I don’t know how you host them both back to back!
I have never made a cheese board, great tips. I will have to try this, I do like cheese
Everyone loves cheese!
WOW – with the holidays coming up, I totally need this. Thanks for an awesome how-to!
Thanks for checking it out
This looks so amazing! You never have to convince me to eat more cheese 🙂 By far one of my top 3 favorite foods. Can’t wait to replicate your board for the holidays!
I love cheese too so it might as well look pretty while you eat it
Wow, that cheese board looks amazing! I’ve always stuck with cheese and crackers but that’s a great idea to add fruit, nuts and olives.
Total game changer!
This is a beautiful cheese board!!! Not hosting anything this year — phew! But maybe I’ll bring a cheese board as a guest. 🙂
Great idea! Thanks
I love to add honey and some sort of jam/perserves/chutney to my cheese boards! I want to gobble up that brie – it truly is a crowd pleaser, yum!
I know! Why is Brie so good??? Must be the triple cream 🙂
Cheese boards are a must have for me for holiday entertaining. Yours looks great!
Thanks! Cheese is so good isn’t it?!
Beautiful!!
I’m not a big cheese person (which is good since my tummy doesn’t like it) except when it came to cheese platters and wine! The last few years since testing dairy in Ireland it’s the one time of year I give in and test my tummy with cheese platters and sometimes it goes better then others but is all has to do with the cheeses.
This year should be interesting with S’s new lactose and tummy issues and her love of cheese. I know there are many without lactose and ones aged longer are easier on the tummy but still not sure what we’ll do.
Cheese is the reason I am not a vegan-I am not sure I could survive without it
This looks so yummy and festive! My favorite cheese is cheddar, especially when it’s room temp…bring on the crackers! LOL
I know it’s so good!
I love this! As mentioned in IG – my sister made one recently and it was the hit of the dinner! Such an easy, flavourful food! Love the step by step guide!
They are so easy to make and everyone loves them!
Perfect tips to get ready for the crazy holiday parties coming up!
Thanks! Can be a crazy time of year
OMG CHEESE!!!!
I love cheese boards like whoa!
I actually usually host all three holidays (we have a great variety of religions and traditions in our family). I always love new ways of presenting our favorite food!
Me too! Hope you can fit this in somewhere 🙂
This is absolutely beautiful! I am going to try this for Thanksgiving. We are doing Thanksgiving at my in-laws this year, and I never know what to bring. This is what you bring when you want to impress! This is not just pin-worthy, it’s drool-worthy, and frame-it-and-put-it-over-the-mantle-worthy…too far? Thanks for hosting this link up, I love it!
oh you are very kind! I really hope your family enjoys it
I’ll be right over! It’s pinterest worth for sure!
Come on anytime!
I love how festive that cheese board looks! <3 The sweet + salty combination is one of my favorites! <3
Mine too-thanks
Cheese is one of my love languages. Love this spread and I cannot wait for Thanksgiving to fully indulge.
ha ha thanks Andrea! Cheese is my jam too
Yes, to cheese! Every party needs a cheese board 🙂
Well of course I agree!
This looks like it tastes as good as it looks!!! Gorgeous and perfect for the holidays 🙂
Thanks so much! (it does) 🙂
Looks AMAZING! I love a good cheese board! My favourite place to be at a party haha
I do love my cheese as well!
Looks beautiful! I love a good cheeseboard for parties.
Thanks so much! Cheese is always a crowd pleaser
A good selection of cheese is definitely one of the easiest and most impressive appetizers you can set out. It’s a go-to for us. We have a wonderful local co-op, Puget Community Co-op, that has a great cheese selection. Some of our favorites: Dinah’s Cheese (local for us), Humboldt Fog, Cranberry Wensleydale. And you are right, gotta have the grapes!
Well all of those sound amazing!
What a lovely cheese board! A friend brought a great one to my kitchen unveiling and left the board as a gift – I though it was such a fantastic home gift idea.
That is a fabulous idea!
Nice! Always like the read about styling tips!
Thanks so much!
Oh, you had me at cheese board. So pretty and very delicious, I’m sure!
Thanks so much!
Lovely cheese board with a lot of variety of goodies there. Thanks for hosting Meatless Monday.
Thanks so much Sadhna!
Oh yum, I love a good cheese board! My favorites are sharp cheeses with fruits. Our holidays are low key this year as we’re exoecting baby #2 the week of thanksgiving, but there is always a drawer full of cheese in my fridge. 🙂
I think baby would love some cheese! Good luck and congrats on the new addition
Yum! Love this time of year! Although, I can never stand too close to the food table at a party, because I can never seem to control myself. 😉
That looks delicious, thanks!
Well I think we all have an issue with that!
My friends would be drooling for this cheese board!!
Well I think you are going to have to make it for them!! Let’s not disappoint them
This looks so good. Even though I can’t eat cheese, I do love to offer a pretty table setting at parties.. and this would totally work.
Thanks so much! Bummer about the no cheese that’s a tough one
I have to admit, I have never done a cheese board but you make it look and sound super easy. I will have to try this at my next family gathering!
It is super easy and everyone loves them!
The presentation looks great
I also like when the hostess labels the cheese with little cards or those chalkboard thingies ( yes I’m so technical..haha) so we know what flavor they are.
Thanks for the link up!
Thanks yes it’s great to label them if you have space.
Love this Deborah! Cheese boards are my fav! Hope you had a good weekend.
thanks cheeses are my fave as well. Awesome weekend thanks
This looks amazing! I love a good cheese board that mixes a variety of tastes and textures like this.
Thanks me too-always a crowd favorite
Love me a good cheese board! I’m throwing a surprise birthday party this upcoming weekend and think I might need to create a fabulous cheese board for an appetizer. This year I’ll be closer to family, so our holiday plans will be super busy trying to fit in time with everyone!
It would be perfect for your party-hope everyone enjoys have a great time
One of the things I’m craving most about this holiday season that I might get to enjoy more than usual! Beautiful and easy to throw together they’re a hit at every party.
I really hope you do! They are super easy and everyone loves them too
I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year – I do every year as well as a post-race brunch on Thanksgiving morning.
Your cheese board is lovely and I’ve pinned it for later use. I make a large antipasto platter for our Thanksgiving appetizer. In addition to a couple of cheeses, I add Italian meats, deviled eggs, olives, roasted red peppers, marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts, crackers, etc. It gets inhaled!
Deviled eggs would also be a great addition I might add those next time too
This looks heavenly LOL I’m all about cheese. I’d never thought of adding fruit, but grapes are a no-brainer!
All about all the cheese myself! #FastFriends 🙂
