Back On Schedule! Weekly run down

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. I do thrive when I am on my routine and it feels great to get back on my regular schedule this week. Here’s a peek into my week.

Weekly Run Down

Sunday-power walk + core

I met a friend for a windy and cold power walk after a Peloton core class. Later, Sundays are for football and sadly our Philly Eagles did not fair well.

weekly run down

Monday-full body strength + tread power walk + core + mobility

I am excited to get back to my regular schedule and was excited to start a new Peloton program with Rebecca this week.

Tuesday-power walk + full body strength + core

I met another friend for a catch up hilly power walk followed by day 2 of strength and core. Later, it was our weekly mahjong meet up.

Wednesday-Power walk + Pilates + core

I met another friend for a windy and longer power walk followed by Pilates and core classes. I’m seriously loving these WOOLX tights and turtleneck. They are 100% merino wool, light but also warm. Perfect for layering.

Thursday-Power walk + full body strength + Peloton cycle

I’m finding myself wanting to get back to some cycling again. After warming up on the bike and finishing my full body strength, I suited up for a cold power walk outdoors. The wind was howling with a feels like of 20 degrees but it always feels good to get outside.

Friday-Standing core + upper body strength + power walk

I love the balance challenge of a standing core class. My arms felt like they could use some extra training and that always feels good. Later, I suited up for another chilly outdoor walk and was glad I did.

Saturday-rest day + core

Today was my planned rest day which always includes a short Peloton core class. Gotta keep up the streak!

It felt great to get back on schedule this week!

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Oh wow, you made the most of getting outside this past week even though it wasn’t always so inviting. Doesn’t it feel great to get back into a routine after a trip? No matter how great the trip, there’s just something about getting back into a routine (and planning the next adventure). Have a great week and good luck Monday night!

I’m sure it’s nice to be home but this week’s weather must have been a shock to the system. I love lightweight wool pieces for layering!

That wool workout gear sounds just perfect! I have a SmartWool pullover that I love. This winter has been a challenge for running, with the cold and the wind. Glad to see you were able to get outside.

Nice job getting back into your routine! I have been doing so much skywalk-walking that my outdoor walking has dwindled a bit. I still get out daily, nonetheless, but am not doing as much outdoor walking as. I do in warmer weather. That said, I am enjoying the increased daylight after work! I was bummed to see the Eagles bow -out, but how about those Hoosiers! I’m looking forward to tomorrow night’s game!

Nice wool gear! I got 3 Smartwool tops for Christmas. I have always avoided wool since I’m slightly allergic to it, but I figured I would give Smartwool a try since everyone raves about it. Guess what? I wore it on my ski trip and I had an itchy rash all around my armpits for DAYS! LOL I washed it when we got home and I’m hoping my reaction to it goes away. Otherwise, my daughter will be gaining 3 more tops (and she has let me know she’s looking forward to it. haha). I’m glad to hear you are not having a similar issue 🙂 I bet the chilly temps are a bit shocking after your time in Aruba!

It’s funny, I do not like wool or cashmere sweaters at all bc they itch me but the woolX base layers are fabulous!

I probably could use some wool this week! It’s cold!

I also find standing core to be amazing! It offers strength and balance, and I really like it!
