Weekly Run Down Feels Like Summer

Thanks for joining me a Kim for the weekly run down. This week summer made a dramatic entry in to these parts. It was kind of an off week for me. Most of the week we were in a very rainy and humid mess which led to a severe storm that brought summer heat raging in. I felt off my game this week a bit.

Weekly Run Down feels like summer

Sunday-core + upper body strength + tread walk

As expected it was a rainy day so up to my gym I went before heading over to my parents’ house to celebrate Father’s Day. My dad is in much better spirits since his ablation last week and seems to be feeling much better.

Monday-Tread walk + upper and lower body strength + core

Hit my Monday hard just the way I like it! I am in week 4 of my upper body program and finishing week 3 of my glutes and legs program with Adrian. Doing them on the same day is killer! (In a good way)

Tuesday-planned rest day + core

I had a Dr appt that required me to fast and pretty much took all morning. Why did I make this at 11 am?! I was so hungry lol. Anyway, I pretty much knew my day was shot and had workmen in the house the rest of the day. Tomorrow is another day!

Wednesday-Peloton hike + upper body strength + core

A great night’s sleep had me ready to take on a hard workout. It did not help me with my Wordle score though 🙂

In case you missed my review of the Nathan Pinnacle Breeze Hydration vest you can catch it here.

Thursday-3.5 mile walk + lower body strength

Well, hello summer! I had intended to run with my group today but it was already in the mid 80’s by 9 am with ridiculous humidity. No thanks! I opted for a sweaty walk instead followed by an intense lower body class. Later, I had fab deep tissue massage. We had another wicked thunder storm late afternoon.

Friday-morning power walk + upper body strength + core

After a crazy storm last night, we woke up to a gorgeous day (finally) in the mid 80’s with lower humidity. I had a nice weighted vest power walk followed by finishing Tunde’s upper body program for the second time. I spent some time in the afternoon reading by the pool.

Saturday-morning power walk + Pilates

It’s a hot one around here! A morning walk before it was too hot felt good. Later, I welcomed in the first day of summer with some reading and floating around the pool

The weather the first half of the week was so gross, but I escaped the Thursday evening storms. It’s super hot here, but the humidity is low so it feels like a sauna, not a steam room. LOL

Glad your dad is feeling better!

ha, I love that Wordle mug! glad it is finally cooling down for you to enjoy some outdoor workouts. I don’t know how you deal with that heat/humidity! but great job still getting it on- esp the weighted vest!

This summer has been so weird, weather-wise–we have now joined you in the swamp. Ugh.

I hope everything went well at your doctor’s appointment.

Hasn’t the Wordle been so hard lately? Did you get DATUM? Is that even a word, lol?
