Thanks for joining me and Kim for the Weekly Run Down. This week we have been a number of different time zones. I’m not even sure which one I am in today! Here is a peek into my week of fitness, jet setting & time zone hopping.

Jet setting Weekly Run Down
Sunday-fly to Las Vegas + upper body and core strength
It was a very early trip to the airport for our flight to Las Vegas. I am here only for 2 1/2 days for a work conference for my husband. Thanks to the time change, I had the whole afternoon to myself while he zipped off to meetings. I was pleasantly surprised to find that our suite had a little side room with a little gym in it complete with a Peloton, weights and a Tonal. It was fun to try it out and now I of course want one!
Monday-walking around Vegas
Today was my husband’s conference that started early and went all day. I had just enough time to go back and change for the dinner so no real exercise. I did walk all over the place getting to and from-does that count? We were staying at the Venetian and I do always think the fake Italian backdrops are fun albeit not quite Venice.
Tuesday-fly to LAX and Tel Aviv + standing core
No sleeping in here! We were up at 4 am to catch a flight to Los Angeles where we switched planes for some more time zone hopping on our way to Tel AViv. We are headed to Israel to attend a friend’s wedding. Peloton standing core class in the airport lounge for the win.

Wednesday-flying to Tel Aviv
We had a long 13 hour flight to Tel Aviv. The jet lag is real this time! Our luggage decided not to arrive with us so that threw a wrench in our plans for a few hours. I ran into the closest mall and grabbed a dress for dinner. My plans for an afternoon workout got scrubbed. The view of the old city of Jerusalem at night is just gorgeous! In the skyline, you can see the Jewish, Christian and Muslim holy sites all together where they coexist peacefully.
Thursday-visiting the old city of Jerusalem and the City of David
I finally got a decent night’s sleep and awoke ready to tour around Jerusalem. We started with a visit to the Western Wall which you may recognize. It is one of the holiest places in the world where both Jews and Christians come to pray and often stick a hand written note into the spaces between the rocks of the ancient wall. I added mine as well.
We then headed to The City Of David. We visited here with our kids 4 years ago and were excited to return to see the new (yet very old discoveries). This archeological museum has fascinating tours. We walked the Pilgrimage Road a 2,000 year old stone paved path that connects the ancient pool of Siloam to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It is believed that Jesus walked this exact path to Jerusalem. Always a very interesting tour. You can read more about it here.

That night we attended the wedding welcome party at a stunning venue-The Tower of David. It is right behind the Western Wall in the old city of Jerusalem. It was breathtakingly gorgeous at night with all the lights and the views. Not sure the pics do it justice.
Friday-upper body strength + core + drive to Tel Aviv
I had the much needed gift of a great hotel gym and surprisingly I was the only person there. It felt fabulous to get in a short but intense upper body class and core class. Even if I don’t have time to my whole normal workout, a little workout is better than no workout and it helps the jet lag. We hung out at the pool in the afternoon and got in a snooze.
Beach view of Tel Aviv

Later, we drove to Tel Aviv for the second night of our wedding festivities. It was another stunning venue and was great to catch up with some friends we had not seen in a long time. I think my jet lag was worse today!
Saturday-afternoon walk + fly to Eilat
We are on the move again! It was a very short flight to Eilat to a beach resort on the Red Sea where the actual wedding will take place. Stay tuned for more pics incoming and see where we jet set off to next!

What an interesting trip! I’ve never been to Israel but I would love to go one day.
That’s a lot of wedding festivities – and the actual wedding hasn’t even happened yet! It’s a good thing your suitcases arrived with all your outfits 😅. Enjoy Eilat and the rest of the celebrations!
