Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week my husband and I had a second honeymoon of sorts this week and celebrating our 30 years together. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and fun.
Weekly Run Down Celebrating 30 Years
Sunday-barre sculpt
I enjoyed a new 30 minute barre sculpt class this morning before getting ready to host Mother’s Day brunch. My parents, son and sister + family were all here. Really missed my daughter in Chicago.

Monday-core + Full body strength + power walk
I knew I would be traveling tomorrow so I wanted to get a strong strength session in today. Andy’s 60 class was prefect. I paired that with a power walk with a friend. We started our anniversary celebration a day early.
Tuesday- fly to Nassau, Bahamas
We were up super early to fly down to the Bahamas for a few days. We brought our rain with us! It rained on our actual wedding day 30 years ago so maybe that’s good luck! I did get in my core and stretch to keep up my Peloton streak.
One of my favorite photos from our wedding 30 years ago.
Wednesday-power walk + upper body strength + core + foam roll
I do love to check out great resort fitness centers when we travel. There was a sign outside that said “no autographs or photos” LOL I was sure hoping that someone was going to ask me for my autograph. It was rather rainy today too but I did not mind reading my book and relaxing in the afternoon.
Thursday-upper body strength + core + morning walk
After a nice sleep in, I got a morning walk and solid upper body workout via Peloton. It’s fun to try new types of weights and barbells when I travel. Later we hit the pool for some relaxing and reading. Also happy birthday to my favorite son who turned 25 today.
Friday-Power walk + core + lower body strength
This week I finished JJ’s intermediate 3 day split with 2 days of upper body and one day of lower body. Sticking to my strength schedule as much as possible when I travel sure helps. It was a beautiful day to lounge by the pool and read and swim.
Saturday-power walk + Pilates and standing core
We enjoyed our last day of this vacation hanging by the pool and soaking in the island vibes.
It was so nice to escape alone together for a few days at this gorgeous resort. We have a few more fun celebrations planned for the week ahead!
Congrats on 30 years – and what an AMAZING way to celebrate it! Spending that beautiful time in the Bahamas sounds perfect.
Also, that wedding photo from 1995 is absolutely priceless! 😅
We had a nice little getaway thanks!
Happy anniversary! What a lovely place to celebrate it.
thanks and yes it was
Happy Anniversary. So nice to getaway. Glad the rain stopped too.
thanks and yes it was nice to getaway
Happy Anniversary! It looks like you had a wonderful ‘second’ honeymoon. May you have many more happy years!
Thanks so much Wendy!
Happy Anniversary! Glad you had some sunshine and pool time on your getaway!
How did you fare with the Friday storms?
We are just back today so we missed the storm
Congrats on celebrating 30 years! It sounds like the perfect getaway – bummer you had some rain, though.
It was all good and nice to get away
Happy Anniversary! That sounds like a perfect way to celebrate. I would love a vacation like that- get some exercise in the morning and then lots of pool lounging and READING. Oh, and Happy Birthday to your “favorite” son!
What a great getaway! Congrats on 30 years! We had a similar pic from our wedding…had I only known, LOL!
Great job keeping up with the workouts while relaxing in the sun 😉
