Hello April! Weekly Run Down

Hello April! Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. I think I have been saying this a lot lately, this week was really busy! It was filled with a few Dr. appointments, Passover dinners, and of course more wedding stuff. But, don’t worry-you know I got my workouts in. Here’s a peek into my week.

Hello april Weekly Run Down

Sunday- Pilates + mobility + power walk

I started my morning off with lots of coffee 🙂 then a morning mobility and Pilates ball class. It was sunny and breezy and a nice power walk felt great. That afternoon, we finalized our tables for the wedding. This was not the most fun part so far.

Monday- core + Pilates +upper body strength

I really enjoyed this upper body class that uses the bench. It was nice to have more variety with form  and structure. Peloton has just recently introduced more of these classes. I am a fan! Who doesn’t love a triceps dips finisher?!

Tuesday-Pilates + lower body strength + arms and light weights

I was working around some workmen in the house but got my stack done. This lower body class including elevated split squats on the bench and step ups was spicy! Definitely bookmarking to do again!

Wednesday-weighted power walk + Pilates + upper body

we were gifted with another 80 day today and it was too nice to be on the Peloton bike. I headed out with my weighted vest for a nice 3 mile hilly walk followed by a 30 minute Pilates and short arms and shoulders class.

Later, we headed my sister’s house for Passover dinner with the family. Happy Passover to those who celebrate with me.

Thursday -standing core + lower body strength + stretch + walk

New on Peloton: standing core classes with a weighted vest! I loved the extra challenge of standing Russian twists and bicycles with the 15 pound vest. I paired that with a great drop set lower body class and a short walk.

Friday-Pilates + arms and shoulders + power walk

the new style of the Peloton Pilates classes are my new fave additions! They are so much tougher than they seem and really hit the whole core in a different way. I’m enjoying the challenge. It was another unusually warm day and I met up with a friend for a long weighted vest walk in the afternoon. Everything is really blooming and it’s very sneezy!

Saturday- tread hike bootcamp

Short and sweet and sweaty! These tread hike bootcamps are no joke. I like the combo of the cardio and strength together for an extra challenge. Later, we spent some time getting our deck ready for summer before meeting up with our son and his girlfriend for dinner. April is off to running start!

Another solid week in the books! do you still have the trainer suggesting Peloton workouts? Regardless, it looks like you found some good ones.

Love the family photo — your husband’s pants are amazing!

Sounds like a really full week! You must be SO excited about the wedding. It sounds like it’s going to be absolutely beautiful.
Yes, those workouts sound spicy! Now I’m kind of wishing I still had Peloton- I would do that glutes and legs workout.
Happy Passover! We don’t celebrate, but my daughter’s boyfriend was observing this week, so I made some special things for him since he isn’t eating bread (I never realized how many of our foods contain flour! Who knew…)

Those bench classes sound interesting! I was just thinking about getting a bench to add to my basement repertoire, good timing! I have not done triceps dips in…forever (?). Looks like spring has really sprung in DC!
