Happy Global Running Day! A sort of made up holiday the first Wednesday in June to celebrate the love of running all over the world. I was not sure how to celebrate my passion for running today so I am totally copying my friend Wendy’s idea for a Global Running Day Would You Rather Edition.

Would you rather…

Would you rather…run with no socks or no sport bra?

Well considering this mother runner is a 34DD, this is no brainer. I cannot even imagine how painful the no bra would be. Black eyes for sure!

Would you rather…Run a mile naked or in a snow suit?

Again, running naked would not be so comfortable for “the girls” so I am going to have to go snowsuit. Just hoping it’s not during the summer.

Would you rather…run in the freezing cold or sweltering heat?

I used to be a summer loving runner but now not so much. The last few years I’ve had a really hard time running in the heat. I felt great this past winter even in the colder temps.

Would you rather…run on an empty stomach or full bladder?

Cannot even imagine running with a full bladder! I always feel like I have to pee anyway. I’ve done a few shorter runs on an empty stomach and it’s not so bad.

Would you rather run uphill or into a headwind?

Hmmm not really sure I have a preference on this one.

Would you rather forget your deodorant or forget you bodyglide?

I forget the body glide all the time and it’s not too bad. The only time I really need it is for a tri race. When I am wet from a swim, the bike shorts can be very uncomfortable without some body glide.

Would you rather…run as much as you wanted on a treadmill or once a week outside?

Hands down-once a week outside. I really struggle with treadmill runs. Plus, I would not have my MRTT mamas with me on the treadmill to chit chat with.

Would you rather run a beer mile or a color run?

I am so not a beer drinker and I would have a hard time actually having to drink all of that beer. We did a modified Beer Run last summer and it was lots of fun. Would you believe, I’ve never done a color run?

Would you rather…eat a slice of pizza mid race or a milkshake?

I tried to drink a milkshake during a Ragnar run a few years back. It did not end well at all!

    This is so fun!
    1. I would run with no socks for sure.
    2. Snow suit all the way – I can’t imagine running naked!
    3. Without a doubt freezing cold. I really do not like running in heat.
    4. Empty stomach! Full bladder is seriously the worst feeling ever.
    5. Headwinds are brutal – I’m going with uphill all the way
    6. I would ditch the body glide and KEEP the dedorant 🙂
    7. This is a hard one. I love, love running outside the most, but I would not want to only run once a week. But running on a treadmill everyday would stink…
    8. I can only drink like 1/4 of a beer, so color run
    9. Pizza during a race sounds awful, so I’ll go with a milkshake, although I think that would be a huge mistake too. ;0

    Definitely would rather run in a snow suit than naked! I mean when it’s winter we basically are in a snow suit any way right? While I enjoy both pizza and milkshakes I think I would rather have pizza mid race over a milkshake. But can I have the milkshake after the race?

    After my experience before the race on Sunday, I know I can barely even walk with a full bladder! This was fun!

    I’d throw up drinking a milkshake mid-race – DEFINITELY a slice of pizza even though I don’t eat it that much 😛

    Happy Global Running Day! That was a fun meme… I wish I had seen it sooner, then I would have participated.

    I love a milkshake after a good run! I also would rather run with a headwind than uphill (although both are tough!) 😉

    What a fun post! I’d rather: run without socks, run in a snow suit, run in the heat, forget deodorant, run outside once a week, run a beer mile, and eat a slice of pizza.

    I’m definitely Team Cold. I really don’t like the heat that much anymore. That would mean I would need to run before dawn to at least beat it a bit (then again, I’m of a certain age and already way too hot all the time for my liking 😉

    Empty stomach over full bladder. OMG just no on the full bladder!!

    I would also be a no socks gal. No one needs to see me running without a bra. People would be injured. Including myself.

    I would choose one run outside over any run on a treadmill.

    You probably know the bulk of my answers, but here they are anyways…… forget socks, snow suit, sweltering heat, empty stomach, uphill, forget bodyglide, color run (but ONLY with friends), and pizza 😉 Anything else you’d like to know? 😉

    I am loving these fun posts today! Because I would rather run in freezing cold I would also rather run in a snow suit 😉 Running on an empty stomach would be much better than running with a full bladder too.

    This is so fun!
    1. No socks
    2. Snowsuit – I feel like living in Chicago I already do this!
    3. Heat – I’m a heat monster
    4. Empty stomach
    5. Uphill – because at least I know when that would end. With wind you never know when it’s going to gust!
    6. Deodorant – I’ve done this a few times (sorry, World) and chafing is way worse than smelling
    7. Outside x10000000
    8. Color run – not a big drinker
    9. PIZZA! Pretty sure I did this during my 50 mile race anyway

    Oh my gosh I love this post! These are such great questions! One that sticks out to me is empty stomach or full bladder. Answer definitely empty stomach because having to pee while running is no fun.

    I love these questions! I’m not “well-endowed” and I definitely can’t imagine running without a bra either! I forgot my sports bra once and ran in a normal bra and that was bad enough.

    Definitely team bodyglide. I don’t chafe often, but man it’s horrible when it happens.

    I don’t drink, and I particularly detest beer. Even when I did drink, I never drank beer. Team milkshake all the way. That actually sounds really good!

    I think it’d be really difficult to run naked. I think there’s a reason all the naked people in Bay to Breakers were walking.

    Did you know deodorant can double as body glide? So in a pinch, use it in places that chafe!

    As for me, I would much rather forget the deodorant. Chafing’s the worst and I do it all the time. Ugh.

    I am with you on alot of these! Although I think at this point I prefer running in the heat…that may change in a few weeks though when I am wishing for cold weather!

    These questions are so mean! I’d definitely opt for pizza over milkshake. And outside vs. treadmill. Not sure about the others tho!

    Color runs can be a lot of fun. I’ve done a few, and if you have a good group of friends and nice weather, it can be a blast! I would definitely try to squeeze one in!
