Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week begins a very busy month ahead. Let the May-hem begin! Here’s a peek into my week.
Weekly Run Down Let the May-hem begin
Sunday-Full body strength + core + power walk
I had a nice sleep in and then hit my gym for a full body workout. Later, I met a friend for a hilly power walk. Spent the rest of the day cleaning out my closet-never ending.
Monday-Upper body push + lower body mobility + power walk
I split up my workout this morning and did my strength and core before heading to the hospital where my dad was scheduled for a minor procedure. He is fine. Later, It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor power walk.
Tuesday -45 min lower body strength + core + power walk
Today’s lower body class was killer! (In a good way) You know those classes where you immediately know you will be sore later. It was 80 degrees today so I had to take my after lunch walk.
This is one of the exercises that was super challenging-off set split squat using 2 different weights. Really forced me to stabilize my core in a whole new way and my butt was on fire.
Wednesday -core + upper body strength
I was back at the hospital with my dad this morning and this time the procedure went as planned and he is good for now. Later, I got in an intense upper body strength and core.
Thursday-3.5 mile run + core + afternoon walk
It was nice to get back out with the squad but wow was not ready for the heat and humidity yet! Later, I met a friend for a walk-it was a 2 shower day!
Friday-power walk + full body strength
I met a friend for a morning power walk-so hot! Finished off the week with a full body strength and core. Later, our future in laws were in town and we met up for dinner and drinks. I drank too much wine and ate very yummy food.
Saturday-rest day
We started getting our patio and pool area ready for the season. Of course, I did a quick core class to keep up my 4+ year Peloton streak. Later, we had a big birthday party to attend.
May is definitely starting off busy but fun busy! Late the May-hem begin.
Sounds like a busy but very good week! How fun to get together with your future in-laws! Happy that things are fine with your dad.
Wow, a 4-year Peloton streak – that’s amazing! It was toasty out there a couple of days, but while on my bike the wind kept me cool. I’ve found as I get older that I tolerate the heat better than I used to, but not the cold (I’m referring to extremes of each).
I hope your dad continues to do well!
