While the winter weather does not usually throw a wrench into my outdoor endeavors, it certainly was challenging this week. The weather woes were real this week. Joining in with Wendy and Hoho for the weekly wrap.
Weekly Wrap Weather Woes
I did it! I took a real rest day. In case you missed my post a few days ago about the rest day paradox, you can read it here.
Monday- 45 m Peloton bike + 60 m strength training
Never miss a Monday. Always like to start the week off strong. Normally, I would have gone out for an afternoon walk but the windchill was below zero. Weather woes begin!
Tuesday- 4 mile run + 60 m hot yoga
Dressing for the very frigid temps has gotten easier and I felt like I was appropriately clothed. I bought a new shirt with a built in balaclava which should have been perfect for this weather but it was not. I don’t know what happened but I had a hard time breathing and just could not regulate it. Any one else ever have this happen? Any tips? Weather woes again! That hot yoga felt amazing though.
Wednesday- 90 min kickboxing + 3.5 afternoon walk + 5 min stretch
Worked on lots of balance and plank variations. When you do them correctly (and try to hold them for photos), they can get tough fast. We were able to reschedule our walk for today. Got in a nice hilly 3.5 walk with friends.

Thursday- 45 min Peloton bike + 3.5 mile walk
Woke up to torrential rain and gusty winds. While warmer, it was not an outdoor run day. I hopped on the Peloton for a great 45 min class with my secret crush Denis. Later in the afternoon, the rain stopped and we decided to just head out for another walk. I felt bad about missing my run but needed to get the steps in for my RunBet. Weather woes again!
Friday- 45 min Peloton bike
Early morning bike ride. Ready to kick it into high gear for a busy weekend ahead. Helped out a friend teach a Challah bread making class to some younger kids. Lots of fun and I learned how to make it myself too.
Saturday- Run 6 miles
Looks like many of us are about to get hit with some crazy weather again this week. How are you handling the weather woes?
