Weekly Wrap Hello Fall It’s about time

Here is a quick recap of how my week of workouts went down.

Sunday-Vinyasa yoga

Loving vinyasa yoga the day after a long run. Perfect way to end the weekend and I found a little friend.

Hello Fall

Monday- 60 min strength training and 3 mile walk

A running friend and I have been adding in some hilly walks on our non run days. I am really enjoying them especially now that it’s fall. In case you missed my Chopped Thai Tempeh Edamame salad with curried peanut dressing. You can find it here.

Chopped Thai Tempeh Edamame

Tuesday- 4 mile run

It was still summer and this was a super sweaty one!

Hello Fall

Wednesday- 90 min strength training and boxing

hello fall

Thursday- hot yoga sculpt class 60 min

Woke up to a thunder storm so our run was cancelled. Rolled back over and went to sleep for an hour before heading out to a Yoga Sculpt class. It had been a while since I did this particular combo class. The blend of the heated yoga and the sculpt was a killer-in a good way!

hello fall

Friday-Vinyasa yoga 60 min

Yes, my third yoga class this week! Well hello fall- it was great to finally wake up to cooler temps. Our Ragnar Napa race is coming up in just 3 weeks! I hosted our team meeting Friday night at our house. This is getting real! My team mates:

hello fall

Saturday- 8 mile run

Continuing to use my run/walk intervals and my running crew was kind enough to stick with me. The 8 miles flew by and I was feeling pretty good! The amazing fall temps were a breath of fresh air literally. Running in cooler temps just automatically feels so much easier.

hello fall

That’s a wrap! Hello fall so glad to see you and I hope you stick around a while. Has fall arrived where you are?

Well, I finally went to yoga ^once^ this week. It’s amazing how much harder it is for me to go on Thursday morning instead of Friday morning, even putting aside work trips. This weather is great!

Well, fall has practically skipped over Iowa. All we’ve had are cold temps and rain. Oh, and there was snow on Friday, but I was in NC so I didn’t have to “experience” that yet. UGH. I much prefer summer LOL

We met fall and moved into winter last week. Now we’re meeting up with fall again this week. It’s making me want to get out and run, and I’m in the middle of recovery! October is such a great month in general.

I didn’t realize Ragnar Napa was so close. You will have so much fun with your team! I adore your Came To Sweat tank and I’m glad you finally got some Fall weather to get outside and play in. We had just a tiny touch of it and hope to get more later this week. Thanks for linking!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      10/15/2018 at 9:49 pm

Yes Ragnar sure is coming up so quickly! I am really exciting

Minneapolis skipped right over fall and had SNOW on my birthday (10/14) though I was in Copenhagen and missed it- they are having an unseasonably WARM fall. Crazy.

So jealous how much yoga you fit it! I need to follow your lead.

Great week, great mix of workouts!

I know it was so hot here in DC too until just a few days ago. Happy birthday!
