My dermatologist has finally convinced me that I need to wear sunscreen all year round for my runs. Yes, even in the wintertime. Prepping for a run has lots of steps and gear gathering I know. It’s easy to overlook the lips. Because our lips can get super dry and chapped in wintertime, it’s important to protect them even more. No one wants sunburn on their lips. Lip Balm with SPF to the rescue! Check out my Top 8 Lip Balms With SPF For Runners and outdoor enthusiasts. Perfect for all seasons.

Thanks for the reminder, Deborah! I don’t protect my skin in winter and I need to change that!
We have just arrived in Cape Town and I should really get some lip balm with SPF. I’m going to buy some Burt’s Bees today!

Glad I inspired you. Check the label on the Burt’s Bees only some of them have SPF
These all look great. I usually wear a moisturizer with SPF but haven’t been wearing anything just for my lips. I should look into trying one of these.
Yes, it’s super important
So many lip balms! Who knew Jack Black had a lip balm? I stick to the tried and true, ChapStik. I’ve had problems breaking out with a lot of lip balms. It’s pretty random, but there must be an ingredient that my lips don’t like!

Interesting I’ve not heard of that before
Uber dry skin here, so I’ve always been adamant about moisturizing as well as sun protection. There’s a few brands here that I haven’t seen before, so thanks for the recs!

Yes, it’s definitely essential all year round
I love Burt’s Bees and Aquaphor. Recently I started using Carmex since my lips are super dry in the Winter.
The winter sure does do a number on the lips!
I love the Fresh one, I actually have that exact shade!

It’s a great one!
I once ran on a cloudy day and decided not to wear sunscreen. Was shocked to come home and find I had a tan line. So its sunscreen throughout the year for me too! Thanks for all these lip balm options. I like most neutrogena products so will look out for that lip balm too!
Oh yes it’s so important! I have already had a few things removed which is not fun at all
I actually like Babo tinted lip balm because it’s got some SPF in it. Although I do usually start out with a mask on, so I’m generally not using it these days! Darn Pandemic. Even before, though, I’d kind of stopped using lipstick at all — this is pretty much all I use!

As long as you use SPF that’s good. I know the mask gets in the way of everything!
Team BurtsBees, but I might have to look for Supergoop on name alone!
For me it’s as much about the wind protection as the sun. The skin on our lips is so thin that winter just destroys it
Yes winter does do a number on your skin. I use the Supergoop sunscreen on my face year round it has a tint and spf 40. They have a bunch of great products even hand cream with spf
These are some great options! I recently discovered aquaphor with the babies and I now need to try that lip gloss. Great suggestions here.
aquaphor products are fantastic!
I’m a bit of a lip balm addict but I haven’t tried a couple of these. That will be remedied soon enough. Lol. Thanks Deborah.
Fantastic! You will love any of these. I have tried them all. I am also do love a good lip balm
Big fan of SPF all-year-round! Burt’s Bees is my favorite!
Me too so important!
I haven’t even heard of half of these!
I am allergic to a lot of sunscreens, so honestly, I try to run before the sun comes out or gets strong to save myself the agony. I don’t really pay much attention to my lip balm, but it’s a small thing I can do.
yes it’s super important so I hope that one of them works for you
I recently started using Aquaphor and it is amazing! Seems to stay on way longer than other brands.
It is a good one!
I go through lip balms and chapstick like crazy! I’m going to have to try a few more of these brands to see if I can find one that I love!
Oh good I hope you find some great options that work for you
Thanks for the awesome recommendations! my lips have been so so dry lately
Hope you find a few that work for you
Aquaphor ALL the way!! I use it DAILY in the winter time! I also like the Fresh Sugar! I had a friend gift that to me once and I loved it! With that said, I’m always willing to try new lip balms so this is a great list! I always love to hear what other people are using and what I could be missing out on!
Can’t miss out! 🙂
Burts Bees is my favorite for winter runs!
It is a great product
