Thanks for joining Coco and me for the March Ultimate Coffee Date. The best thing about coffee dates (besides the actual coffee) is that you think you have nothing exciting to chat about and then, like magic you can’t stop talking. Just me? Anyway, I have lots to chat about today so grab your mugs and join me.

March Ultimate Coffee Date- Make mine an extra large

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

I have been exhausted lately! Funny thing is I am getting plenty of sleep but I admit to hitting the snooze button a few times this week. I am also reaching for the extra large coffee like it has magic powers. I am blaming it on the winter that never ends.

Kim (Kim runs on the fly) and I decided to take over the much loved Weekly Wrap link up. We will start hosting this Sunday with the Weekly Run Down. Hope you will join us and linkup through either of our blogs anytime after 1 pm. New badge here. The more the merrier.

I had the opportunity to go on a restaurant review with our friend from the Washington Post food section. So much fun to check out a new restaurant and order pretty much everything on the menu. Perfect excuse to #EatAllTheFoods. Since the review has not published yet, I can’t divulge where it was. Spoiler alert, it was so good and we will be going back. Snuck in a photo of this roasted cauliflower with squash hummus. I may need to recreate this one on my own.

My March into Fitness challenge starts Monday through Run Bet. It’s 4 runs/walks per week for 4 weeks betting against yourself to complete the challenge. Complete all the runs, get all your money back. Great motivation during this winter weather. For more info and to sign up check here.

My “spring” season of Girls on The Run is starting on Tuesday with 64 girls. Insert crazed face emoji here. The first week is always super hectic but I am excited to get back out there with the girls.

A restaurant review sounds super fun! I would order everything as we’ll! I like hearing that anything SPRING is starting soon. Hope it brings warm weather to that area.

I had decided to continue writing my weekly run down even though Wendy and Holly had decided to end the weekly wrap so I’m happy to hear that you and Kim and going to continue with it!

Wow, what happened with InLinkz? I guess it’s the new rollout they’ve been talking about for ages. I kept getting some sort of notification when I’d open InLinkz to set up my two linkups before I stopped them…

    Have a great weekend!

It was lots of fun to do a real restaurant review especially when you love the food

Seriously this winter hasn’t been terrible but it still feels that way. Can’t change it though so I guess you have to embrace it. Sort of.

I’m always tired. I think it’s a post menopausal thing cause really nothing seems to change that.

Good luck with GOTR & thanks for taking over WW!

      03/01/2019 at 8:55 am

I don’t know why I am so tired lately! I am excited to take over the weekly wrap see you there

So excited for this new adventure with you!! I’m still having issues with InLinkz….it’s not loading (???). Oh well, life would be boring if there were no issues to overcome LOL I love all your involvement with GOTR!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      03/01/2019 at 8:56 am

Yes I guess life would be boring if everything worked the way it was supposed to!

  6. Coco says

    03/01/2019 at 7:32 am

Wow, you do have a lot of fun updates! I will be watching for that restaurant review. Is it the main reviewer? #jealous You deserve that extra large coffee for organizing and running GOTR. I’m so glad you and Kim are going to pick up the wrap and run with it. 😉

    • Deborah Brooks says

      03/01/2019 at 8:57 am

Yes the main review for the Wash Post food section magazine should be out soon. Excited for GOTR and the new link up. lots going on this month

I hear you on the tired thing! I have had A LOT of coffee this winter. The sun is rising earlier so that’s a plus!! Spring will be here before we know it. I blabbed a ton in my coffee post this week – lots of exciting stuff happening in March. That dish looked amazing – please share the review when it’s published.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      03/01/2019 at 9:08 am

It is starting to get lighter and that sure helps to get out of bed in the mornings (and reach for my coffee) lol

  12. Renée says

    03/02/2019 at 6:32 am

oh Deborah, I know all about hitting the snooze. I do have great intentions but I think because *most* of my fitness activity is after work and then I have either a chance to chill out for an hour or two max or do food prep for the next day, I usually choose chilling out! then by the time I do get my butt out of the bed food prep takes precedence over fasted-fitness activity…

is that your biggest girls on the run group??? that’s a LOT of girls!

I’m super excited you and Kim are starting a new weekly wrap link up!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      03/02/2019 at 1:37 pm

Oh I would never get my workouts done if I needed to do them in the evening! Yes it’s a lot of girls on the team. Last fall we had 68. It is a ton of fun though and I really enjoy hanging with them

  13. Kristen says

    03/02/2019 at 11:59 am

64 girls! Oh goodness!! I’m so impressed!
This week I’m excited to finally be (almost, insert fingers crossed emoji) cough free and back at the gym after 2 months off! I’ve been going stir crazy here.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      03/02/2019 at 1:42 pm

OH wow I really hope you are feeling better this week. Seems like a lot of people have that bug
