Up for a new fitness or wellness challenge? Seems like everywhere you look all kinds of creative 30 day challenges abound. From yoga to squats, to planks to meditation. You name it. There is a challenge for it! How great is that? I have put together a whole year’s worth of 30 day challenges for you. Bonus: you can do them all at home. Pick one or pick them all. Better yet, pin them for later! You are following me on Pinterest right?
A Year’s Worth of 30 Day Challenges
Blogilates Ab Challenge
I like the look of this challenge. It is reasonable and doable with a small time commitment.
30 Day Superman, Squats & twists
This one is from my friend Rachel at Running on Happy. I like the combination of exercises in an easy to follow format.
30 Day walking challenge
[You may also like this full body do anywhere jump rope workout]
30 day stationary bike challenge
30 Day Butt and leg Boost
When every day is leg day!
30 Day Strong Arm Challenge
Because tank top season will be here before you know it!
30 Day Plank Challenge
There are tons of plank challenges out there. I like how doable this one is.
30 Day Squat and skip rope challenge
30 Day Gratitude Challenge
30 Day Yoga Challenge
Get your Om on every day for a month.
30 Day Self Care Challenge
I like this one a lot!
30 Day Meditation Challenge
I have such a hard time with meditation! I could use this one.
My favorite challenge is the #3for31 from Robin Arzon of Peloton fame. Basically, you commit to moving your body for 30 min or 3 miles for the 31 days of December.
Why pick just one challenge this year?! From yoga, to meditation, to squats, to self care and planks. There is enough healthy motivation for everyone and every interest here. Which wellness challenge will you do? Have you done any other monthly challenges you would suggest to me?

Very inspiring challenges! Thanks for collecting all these ideas!
I have never done a 30-day challenge, simply because I never thought of it. I am going to carefully choose one from your selection, adapt it to my needs and try it!
Deborah Brooks says
Great hope you have fun with it
Maureen @ Maureen Gets Real says
I really like the idea of the non-fitness challenges! I think now we should all look at the gratitude and be more positive challenges!
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks it sure cannot hurt!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says

I love this list! Will put myself through a 30-day hamstring stretch challenge. I just did a 100-mi challenge run/walk/hike in February. Would also love to do a yoga pose challenge again.

Fantastic! The hamstring stretch sounds good to me too

So much work goes into creating these challenges — I really appreciate that now! Thank for searching out such great challenges, Deborah, and Happy Hannukah!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes a lot of work indeed! happy hannukah to you as well
Laurie says
Wow! They all look great. Thanks for a whole year’s worth of challenges to pick from. My gym was just closed again for several weeks (at least) due to COVID. I need some stuff I can do at home. The ab challenge looks…challenging! I don’t know if I could do even 1 roll up. Something to work on.
Deborah Brooks says
You can definitely do it. Sounds like the perfect challenge for you!
Kimberly Hatting says
I think 30 day challenges are a great way to not only try new things (with a short term commitment) but also allow for focusing on a particular muscle group that may need a little extra attention. A lot of my challenges, like these, have morphed into my daily/weekly routine 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Yes they are a fun way to try new things that we may end up really enjoying
meranda@fairytalesandfitness says
I should do the flat abs challenge but I am most likely to do the gratitude challenge! I will be printing that one out! Thanks
Deborah Brooks says
You have plenty of time do both!
Laura Allen says
This is such an amazing round up! Switching up your workouts is so essential so your muscles don’t get used to the same thing! Love this post!!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes exactly!
Mimi says
These are so fun! I love blogilates!
Deborah Brooks says
I know so fun!
patricia @ Grab a Plate says
So many great options! I’ve been trying to get back into yoga, so maybe this challenge will be good for me!
Deborah Brooks says
Fantastic enjoy it! I always feel better when I have yoga in my life
Helen Little says
Yay, what great challenges! I really need to start working on my fitness levels. At the moment it’s just walking and lifting my big toddler! 🙂
Deborah Brooks says

This is so perfect! I can’t believe you compiled an entire year’s worth of workouts in one post! Such a great resource!

These are awesome! I recently dusted off my spin bike and I’m really enjoying getting back into it. So, I might have to jump on that stationary bike challenge!
Deborah Brooks says
OH great that sounds perfect!
Jenny says
I like the sefl care challenge (because it includes a power nap!) The one I should really do is the meditation challenge. Well… maybe i will! It’s not a big time commitment and it would be good for me. Thanks for these awesome ideas.
Deborah Brooks says
meditation has always been super challenging for me too!
Catrina says
I love all these ideas. Small changes in our routine – even just 5 minutes a day – can have an enormous impact over a month. Will you be doing the 3 for 31 challenge next month?
Deborah Brooks says
I agree, small changes can make huge impacts. Yes, I will be doing the #3for31 challenge again. It’s very doable for me and I love the interaction w the community
Lisa @ Mile by Mile says
Great ideas here! Doing a 30 day challenge right now can really help you stay on track during the busy holidays season.
Deborah Brooks says
I agree! These are all pretty easy to add into a busy holiday schedule
Debbie says
These are great! I’m not very good at sticking with challenges but these look fun and very doable.
Deborah Brooks says
I think sometimes people take them on without planning out how to implement them into their schedules. I hope I offered some that can seamlessly fit into a busy schedule
Darlene S Cardillo says
Thanks so much… these are great… something for everyone.
I’m not into challenges or streaking but I do think I could do the Gratitude one and the Accountability one.
Deborah Brooks says
Thanks, I tried to pick a wide range that people can easily fit into their busy schedules
Kimberly Hatting says
These all look very doable, especially for beginners or those who are short on time (Umm, that’s pretty much everyone, LOL). I agree, meditation is tough! I’m not skilled with that either!
Deborah Brooks says
I have never been able to stick with or get into meditation. My mind just wanders!
Debbie says
These are great! I should turn some of the challenges I set up for my clients into infographics and share them on my blog.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes that’s a great idea
Nicole @ Foodie Loves Fitness says
This post is so fun! I love a good challenge. I think the jump rope one would actually be a challenge for me because I’m not great at it!
Deborah Brooks says
jump rope is always harder than I expect!
