2022 Gift Guide For Runners

I separated my list into a few different categories for easier reference.

Outfit yourself for winter

Fun & comfy winter running gear just makes running in the cold more fun.

Brooks Hybrid Shield Jacket Super warm without feeling bulky. This jacket is great for windy days.

Ranier tights (also pictured above in purple) are a winter staple. With a thin lining, they keep me warm without feeling hot or bulky.

Gloves and hand warmers- I always have a few pairs of gloves in rotation. These Brooks Fusion gloves are lightweight and warm at the same time. I am loving the new fall color. Don’t forget to restock your hand warmers for those super cold days. Yes, they do expire from last year!

If you run in a lot of snow or rain, investing in a pair of Gortex running shoes is well worth it. These Ghosts GTX are on my wish list this year.

Wellness and Recovery products

We all have our own definitions of wellness and recovery. These are some of my favorite items.

Massage gift cards-treating yourself or your running bestie to a massage gift card is priceless. Regular sports massages go a long way in keeping your body feeling good.

Inside Tracker- Take a deep dive into your body’s current wellness with an Inside Tracker personal wellness report. Find out what and how you can improve your nutrition and bloodwork from the inside out based on your goals. Their black Friday sale is still going on. Use my code RUNYOURDAY for at least 20% off. I plan to do a full review of my recent experience in January.

confessions and runfessions

Pluto Pillows-sleep could be the most underrated recovery and performance too. I went through a number of not good for me pillows before deciding to try out customized Pluto Pillows. So glad that I did. I love mine! Try it out with this $10 off coupon.

Peloton Digital- You all know how much I love Peloton and all of the fabulous classes they offer. From strength to yoga to stretching to meditation, it’s all there. You can still get a free trial for the app for 60 days.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I’m intrigued by the Inside Tracker. I especially like that there’s a reassessment after a few months. It seems very thorough and I’m looking forward to your review in January.
I would also be interested to know what happens with all the personal data. Is it used for further analysis? (i.e. sold to other companies?)

From what I understand it is HEPA compliant and is not like a 23 and me for example mount please confirm that on your own. I really enjoyed the process and info I received.

That’s good to know about HIPAA Compliance! Thanks, Deborah!
Exactly, I had those ancestry things in mind, where the company profits from all the data they get.

I love that Brooks jacket–I wear it everywhere!! I do like those Ghost GTXs as well. It’s nice not to get wet feet!

I’m looking forward to your post on the Inside Tracker. There’s so much hype about it!

I love the jacket too! Looking forward to doing a retest in January and writing all about it. So far, I like the info and the process.

Good reminder. I need to stock up on hand warmers. Rainier tights are my favorites.

I am always searching around for the hand warmers on that first frigid day! Last year all of mine were expired and they did not heat up

Well, I’m in heaven with all the gift guides coming out this week! I 100% agree that a gift certificate for a massage would make an amazing gift (of course!) And I’m intrigued by the Pluto pillow- so they’re custom made? It’s true, sleep is probably the most recovery tool there is, so a good pillow is crucial.

Yes you answer some questions about your sleeping habits and pillow preferences and they design your pillow. You can return it if you don’t like it. I really like mine have had it for a few months.
Also I have a 15% off coupon for Orange mud if you have not bought it yet. (FF15Brooks)

I love my Brooks jacket! And a gift certificate for massage would be awesome. I may need to add that to my list!

That’s a super cute jacket! I wish we had more of a reason for cold weather gear!

It was like I shopped off this without having read it, although I think it was this post last year when I fell in love with Rainier. I just tried the unlined ones and love them for fall.
and YES on the fusion gloves. I have fuschia because I am me.

I also have the fuchsia ones from last year and thought it would be fun to have a winter color to match other tights. You know I love to match
