Wow it’s been another crazy busy week for this mother runner! I am linking up again with Hoho and Tricia to take a peek into my week of workouts. Since I was vacationing with my family most of this last week, I was off of my regular schedule of workouts. Thankfully I have all of my Instagram posts to remind me of what I did each day. 🙂 Let’s get right to this Weekly Wrap Nantucket Style.
Weekly Wrap Nantucket Style
We arrived in Nantucket, MA last Saturday to beautiful weather. One of the things I love most about visiting this Island is that you can walk or bike just about anywhere. We immediately rented some bike cruisers that we used non stop all week. It was so different and refreshing to be able to just hop on my bike and ride for coffee or to store.
Sunday-18 mile family bike ride
I was so excited that my husband and son agreed to go on a long bike ride with me. We pedaled up to the top of the path near Siasconset beach. What a view we had from the top!
Monday- 1 hour kayaking
Tuesday- SUP yoga class 75 min + 10 mile bike ride
I have this irrational fear of sharks so I extra determined to make sure I did not fall off of this board. Once I stopped fearing that I would, it was much easier to find and keep my balance. I wish I had time to try it again because I just loved it. Lying on the board and hearing the sounds of the water was so relaxing and peaceful. The wind really picked up as we were heading back into shore and we had to drop to our knees to paddle in to avoid being blown back out.
We all biked up to a local farm for lunch. I had a giant yummy baked tofu and veggies sandwich. I also indulged in some freshly made ice cream.
Wednesday- 4 mile run
My husband “reminded” me that I had not been for a run yet the whole trip so off I went in search of gorgeous landscapes. That was just what I found. Last time I post this one I promise but they are my faves from the whole week.
Thursday- travel home
Friday-1 hour strength training
Back at it today with my trainer to make up for the sessions I missed. Definitely felt that the next day!
Saturday-5 mile run
On such a beautiful and cooler day, we decided to head down to DC for our morning run. We live just about 10 miles out of the city but we can get awfully lazy about running in town. It’s easy to take for granted all of the beauty this city has to offer.
I am ready to get back on my regular schedule this week and with school starting tomorrow it’s going to be an early wake up around here. Hope to see you tomorrow for Meatless Monday where I will be sharing my Greek Panzanella Salad. Mark your calendars for the September Ultimate Coffee Date next Saturday with my co-host Coco. We’d love to have you join us!
Looks like a great trip with lots of fun activities! I live less than 10 miles from Baltimore but never run down in the city any more. Its so much easier to just head out for my run right from my house!
I agree! It was nice to mix it up yesterday though
Those lighthouse pictures are really gorgeous! You’re inspiring me to try to find SUP at Rehoboth – I might have to go to the bay side ….
If they have it there I would definitely try it. I think you would love it.
What a great week. Love Nantucket! (wearing my ACK tee right now 😉
It’s a unique place for sure!
I love seeing all of your photos from your trip – it looks like you had an amazing time!
We really did it is a one of a kind little island
I too am ready to get back on my regular schedule, which is what I wrote about! LOL! Guess I’m not the only one feeling ready.
Loved your pics from Nantucket. That is one place I’ve never been, but I’d sure like to.
Your vacation looked so fun (and definitely action & fitness packed). Great job!!
Thanks I tried to pack it all in there!
OMG, that sandwich looks AMAZING! I’ve only been to Nantucket once, decades ago. I’d love to go back. We’ve been to the Vineyard more often.
Looks like a most excellent vacation!
I’ve never been to the Vineyard! I need to re create the sandwich for sure
The beach looks like a beautiful place to go for a run!
It really was!
Looks like a wonderful getaway! A perfect way to (sort of) wind up summer.
Definitely!
I was wanderlusting with you all week via Instagram while in Hawaii! Your pictures were beautiful! When we visited Key West a few years ago, we rented cruisers as well and rode everywhere we went ….it really is a fun and relaxing way to see a new place! But now Yoga on a SUP??? I don’t think so! I had a hard enough time just paddling around on one in Key West! Impressive 🙂
OH I have no doubt you could do it! You would be surprised and it’s so much fun
All of the landscapes are beautiful! I would love to try SUP yoga one day. Do a lot of people fall off?
You know I was surprised that I did not fall off. I also think it would depend on the wind and waves that day.
Looks like you had an amazing trip! The pictures are beautiful and that sandwich looks so tasty!! Great job keeping up with all of your workouts while you were away!
Thanks! I sure tried 🙂
Beautiful lighthouse photos! I love how you say that your husband reminded you that you hadn’t been on a run. 🙂
ha ha yes he did!
Your vacation to Nantucket looked amazing all week on IG. That SUP yoga class looked fun, but I’d have been scared of falling, too. I’ve never done SUP before.
Oh I was totally scared! It was lots of fun though
Nantucket looks amazing! I really need to make sure that next summer I make a trip to New England, it’s always so nice!
All your workouts look so fun! SUP scares the crap out of me because my balance isn’t the best…but I’d love to try it one day!
New England is much cooler for sure! I highly rec it. I was a little worried about the balancing but it was fine once I relaxed
The lighthouse is so picturesque! What an awesome week. Love the variety of all that you did!
Thanks it was a pretty great week!
Nantucket looks like a beautiful place!
It was a great week!

It is a one of a kind spot!
Nantucket is just beautiful! and it looks like you had great weather for all that active family fun! It is always good to get back home though 🙂
We did and yes always great to get back home and back on schedule
Sounds like a great time in Nantucket! I would probably be afraid I’d fall off the SUP too. Look fun! Love your pics of the lighthouse!
You are the queen of outdoor activities you would love it there
The very first think I do when I start on my WW post is to go back through my camera roll on my phone. If not I don’t know how I’d remember what I did that week!
I know it’s super handy! Have a great week
