Having quite the busy weekend over here so this is going to be a short and sweet Weekly Wrap to say Hello May! I feel like this week just flew by and I am still trying to catch up to it. Anyone else feel that way? Let’s get right to it and join Hoho and Wendy for the Weekly Wrap.
Weekly Wrap Hello May
Monday 30 min elliptical + 60 min strength training + 10 mile bike
After my rest day Sunday, I was ready to hit it hard on Monday. Feeling pretty good on the bike this week even after my strength training workout.
Tuesday- 4 ish mile run
The April showers really do bring May Flowers. Hello May!
Wednesday- 90m kickboxing and strength training
Always my most intense workout of the week. Told my trainer we needed to do some intense core work and these jack knives on the Bosu were quite the challenge. I should have posted the outtakes where I fell off and backwards. LOL
Thursday- 3 mile run
My 4 mile run turned into a 3 mile run. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. We hit summer temps this week of 90+ and I just was not ready for them. The pollen is out in force and I literally had to walk the last mile of my run.
Friday- rest day
Had to bail on my workouts today to wait for a service repairman.
Saturday- rest day
Packet pick up for tomorrow’s Sprint Tri race. Weather is looking a little better may not be a total wash out after all. First meeting for our Ragnar Napa Team.
Sunday- Race Day! Westfields Sprint Triathlon Here I come!
I have a really delicious, Israeli inspired Meatless Monday recipe for you tomorrow starring Allwhitesâ„¢ , veggies, tomatoes and crusty bread. Can’t wait to share it with you. If you can’t wait, check out some recipes here.
And that’s a wrap! How did this week go by so quickly?! Happy to say Hello May but please slow it down a bit thanks!

It’s amazing how quickly we jumped into summer weather. So far I’ve been enjoying it but I find that running early in the morning its not too hot yet. Good luck in your race!
Deborah Brooks says
Yes I imagine it’s much cooler when you run! It got pretty toasty last week
Kim G says
Awesome job this week and glad that your Tri went well today!
Deborah Brooks says
I am a little rusty!
Jennifer @ Fit Nana says
Those bosu jack knives look killer!! I’m sure I would have fallen off, too! lol
I’m sorry you had to take an impromptu rest day to wait for a service repairman. Hopefully, everything is fixed and up and running!
Can’t wait to hear all about the tri! So glad the rain held out for you!
Deborah Brooks says
It never hurts to take an extra rest day!
Wendy says
I’m really anxious to hear all about your tri! Looks like you had a great week of training leading up to it!
Deborah Brooks says
It was lots of fun I am def a little rusty!
Marcia says
May is intense! I’m glad we’re not freezing anymore though. Can’t wait to hear about your tri!
Deborah Brooks says
It was fun but I am a little rusty. Stay tuned for more details
Lesley says
It’s never easy with the Bosu. I did some exercises on it during PT, and I would always need help.
Deborah Brooks says
I love the Bosu always a great challenge!

I totally agree that this week flew by and I can’t catch up!
Deborah Brooks says
Right there with you!
Becca | Rabbit Food Runner says
Those Bosu jack knives sound like a great core workout but super challenging! I would fall off too haha. I’m so happy to see the May flowers!
Deborah Brooks says
It takes a little practice!
Kimberly Hatting says
I don’t have a Bosu (yet), but want to get one ASAP. I tried planking on one when we were in Florida (spring break), and I was swaying and rocking like crazy. I’d def be falling over if I tried jackknifing on one LOL
Deborah Brooks says
Well there is definitely a learning curve! I am pretty sure you could do it though
Catherine says
Ragnar Napa looks like I much fun! I’ve done the northwest passage one and was so impressed by how well run it was. But no wineries so Napa probably wins
Deborah Brooks says
I’d love to do that one too!
Lacey@fairytalesandfitness says
I hope this next week goes just a fast as the first week did. Of course when you are looking forward to something(like I am) it just drags!
Deborah Brooks says
ha and I am hoping things slow down a bit. My May is just crazy!
HoHo Runs says
It’s crazy you’ve hit 90 degrees already! That’s too much too soon! But, you do have pretty spring flowers. I hope you enjoyed your Tri. I can’t wait to hear the details. Thanks for linking!
Deborah Brooks says
I had a great time but a little rusty!
Debbie @ Deb Runs says
That heat came in a bit too quickly so I bet a later run on Wednesday was difficult! You had great weather yesterday morning!
Deborah Brooks says
We did after all!
Jessie says
Glad that your Tri went well today! I’ve been doing so much swimming and spin during my recovery that people keep asking if I’ll do a tri, but I don’t think so…I don’t actually like cycling that much 🙂 Maybe a duathlon with just swimming and running, hehe 🙂
Great week for you! Thanks for sharing.
Deborah Brooks says
Biking outside is so different and maybe you would like it more? Maybe when you are healed you can try riding outside
