Popping in for a quick Weekly Wrap Graduation Edition. It was another activity and festivity packed week around here but managed to get in most of my workouts. Here is a quick recap of my week.
Sunday- Graduation party day!
Torrential rain kept us from having our pool party but the kids all had a blast anyway.
Monday- 30 min elliptical +60 min strength training + 60 min indoor bike
After yesterday’s rest day, I was ready to hit it hard today. Although I probably did not “need” the elliptical, that is how I usually warm up before I see my trainer for our workout so I kept that in. Feeling accomplished.
Tuesday- 4.5 mile run + 1100 m swim
I love the run swim combo especially in the summer. While I am already struggling with the humidity on my runs, I am feeling great in the pool. My plan had me doing some baseline 100’s and it went well. Starving!
Wednesday- 90 m strength training
Today was convocation which I am not really sure what the purpose of that is. For me, it was a sneak peak of the actual graduation. My husband couldn’t make it but I was glad to have my daughter along. Seems like only yesterday that I was at hers. How do they get so big?? Finished just in time to get my workout in.
Thursday- 3.75 m run
I was so tired today and had to walk a few times. I think having a few days off of running next week will really help.
Friday- 16 m bike ride
I needed to go burn off some nervous energy before graduation and hanging out with my whole extended family for the day. Felt great to be out on my bike and pushed a pretty good speed.
Graduation finally! It was a great afternoon. My waterproof liner and mascara were doing double time. So proud of my son for graduating with honors. He is off to Indiana University with his sister in the fall. We are a real Hoosier family now! A few of my fave photos:
Saturday-travel day
In case you missed it, we are headed off to Italy with the whole extended family for the week. Looking forward to lots of pizza and pasta. Stay tuned for updates!
**Special guest Meatless Monday post tomorrow from Patrick @LooneyForFood hope you will check it out and give him some love***
Congratulations and Bon Voyage! All of your family pics are awesome — I love that dress!
Thanks so much!
I hope you are having a wonderful trip in Italy. Well deserved!!!
Congrats to Max!!!
Thanks so much so far so good!
Congratulations to your son! Love the cake. You did an impressive job getting all those workouts in, considering the busy week you had. Way to go! I am very anxious to hear what you have to say about Italy. Hubs and I are going in September (for the first time) to celebrate our anniversary.
Thanks and I am glad I got in my workouts last week because they are not happening at all this week!
Congrats to Max! The cake for his party looks great and I bet it was super yummy too. Bummer about the rain, but glad that everything still worked out.
I hope that you and the family have an amazing time in Italy! I’m drooling just thinking of all the yummy food you will have there!
Thanks! We are having the best time and I have already eaten way too much but it’s so good
I am SOOO jealous of your trip to Italy!!! Congrats, again, to your son (and the entire family)….another big adventure awaits.
Thanks! Having a fantastic trip so far and the food is so good
Looks like an exciting week with all the graduation festivities! Have a great time in Italy!
Thanks so much and so far so good!
Have so much fun in Italy!!
Congratulations to your son! Looks like a fun celebration!
Way to go fitting in a tough of different workouts too! Outdoor lap swimming is the BEST 🙂 I love it.
Have a great trip to Italy!
Thanks! Yes outdoor swimming is fantastic for sure. The trip is fab so far
Congratulations! Looks like a wonderful time – and I love your dress!
Thanks so much!
Sounds like you had a great week with some great celebrations (and I’m always starving after I swim — isn’t everyone?).
Enjoy Italy! I know you will!
I must say I’m kind of laughing at the fact that sister & brother are at the same college. My parents wanted me to go to the same college as my brother, and though I applied & got in, I never had any intention of going there! Besides, if I had, I would never have met Mr. Judy.
But almost all my brother’s children have ended up at his alma mater, which is on the east coast (they live on the west coast).
I never would have guessed they would have ended up at the same school! I am kind of happy though. Italy is amazing so far I am eating my weight in pasta 🙂
What an awesome cake! That is cool that your children will be attending the same college. Makes things easy when it’s time to go visit!
Enjoy Italy!
Yes it sure does! Thanks so far so good
Have fun!
Congrats to your son. Have a great time in Italy!
Thanks so much so far so good!
I hope you all have a blast in Italy! What a fun way to celebrate your son’s graduation!
That cake!!! OMG!!!!
Congratulations to your son! He’s so tall!! Do you have tall family members? My sister towers over me – she gets it from my dad’s side of the family. My mom’s side is average height – no real tall folk.
Have so much fun in Italy!! Cannot wait to hear all about your travels!
Congrats to your son! They grow up so quickly! It’s cool he’ll be at the same university as your daughter. We had a few pre-events before the actual graduation too which I didn’t understand the need for. 😉 I hope you enjoy your family vacation in Italy.
Congratulations again …I know you are so proud! Have so much fun in Italy …will be following along with you guys and enjoying every single minute!
Thanks so much so far so good!
Congrats to your son! How cool that both of your children will be at the same university. I LOVE both of your dresses you’re wearing for convocation and graduation. Hope you’re having a blast in Italy!
Yes I am so excited that they will be at the same school!
