Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the weekly run down today. It’s getting busy around here with my birthday and my husband’s birthday in the same week followed by Thanksgiving. Let the hectic holiday season begin. November seems like a whirlwind of a month and oh, did I mention that Hanukkah starts Thanksgiving weekend this year?! And if that was not enough, we had another unexpected event pop up. Here is a peek into my hectic week!
Let the Hectic Holiday Season Begin
Monday- core + upper body + Peloton cycle
Starting my Monday strong just the way I like it. I did a short but intense HIIT Cycle class with Denis. Then, met my parents for lunch at a new taco place.
Tuesday- 6 mile run through DC
It was such a gorgeous fall day and we decided to take a field trip run around the Washington DC monuments. Picture perfect day! We had the best morning running through all of the monuments. I take these for granted and don’t run down here enough.
Today was my husband’s birthday so another night out! We actually went to a book signing party in DC that was kind of fun. Dr. Fauci himself was there and we chatted for a few minutes. Another hectic day!
Wednesday- core + lower body + arms + Peloton Cycle
I do love a good lower body strength session that leaves me feeling it. Another hectic day over here trying to get a bunch of stuff done. I said yes to a few too many projects that all seem to be coming due at the same time!
Thursday- 6 mile run + stretch
Another beautiful fall day! We took advantage of this unusually warm day before the cold front comes barreling in.
My son flew home today (a few days earlier than planned) to get his wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow. It was hectic to get this scheduled right before Thanksgiving but I did it! Lots of mothering and prepping today.
Friday- 3 mile walk + core class
We woke up to a really chilly morning. My son wanted to go for a walk before his surgery so we bundled up and headed out. He had 3 wisdom teeth pulled and is recovering nicely. I hovered over him all afternoon trying to anticipate his every need. Another hectic day over here!
Saturday- planned rest day
My usual rest day and packet pick up for Sunday’s Turkey Trot 10K.
Sunday- 10K Turkey Trot
So happy to have the local turkey trot race back this year. There are so many reasons to love them. A perfect end to a hectic week. My daughter is flying in later today. I will be one happy momma to have both of my kids home all week.
Thanks for linking up! Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving and a great week ahead.

This is the busy time of year for sure! I’ve had that perpetual ‘overwhelmed’ feeling all year and even more so now. My youngest doesn’t get home until Weds–he has classes up until then. I’m looking forward to seeing both of my boys as always! Enjoy your family and Happy Hannukah!
