Weekly Run Down April Showers…

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week we were dodging more winter like weather accompanied by the usual April showers. As always, doing my best to navigate it all. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness

Weekly Run Down April showers

Sunday-upper body strength + core + 3 mile power walk

I started week 3 of Tunde’s upper body program today and it was challenging in a good way. Normally, I do my core first but today I did it afterwards and let me tell you, my arms were shaking in that plank. Sometimes, mixing things up is good! Later, I met a friend for a power walk.

Monday-Core + Full body strength + tread hike

I was balancing having some workers in the house and getting in my workouts but I succeeded. It was literally pouring down rain all day “April Showers” which forced my walk inside. We do what we can!

Can you do 11 pushups!?

Tuesday-tread walk + Pilates + Upper body strength + afternoon walk with a friend.

A morning Dr appt got me off to a later workout but a successful one. We were back to winter like temps in the 30’s today but it’s always nice to eat get out in the sunshine with a friend for a walk. I thought I was done with my jackets for the season!

Wednesday-Lower body strength + core + power walk

I think I will feel today’s lower body workout-in a good way. It was still jacket weather but the sun was out-met another friend for an after lunch walk.

Thursday-3.5 mile run/walk + core

I hadn’t run in over week and it was nice to get out on a cool morning before more April showers rolled in.

Friday-Tread walk + upper body strength + core

April is living up to its reputation with another day of torrential rain showers. Alas, it was an indoor workout. I spent the afternoon getting ready for Passover dinner. We are hosting a small group tomorrow and then a big family dinner Sunday at my sister’s house.

I earned the Peloton -workout everyday for the first 100 days of 2025 badge.

Saturday-Power walk + lower body strength + Pilates

I have a busy day of Passover prep over here but a quick workout is always a help. I love to make seasonal table decorations and this one was tough. As long as no one touches it, I think it will make it!

Happy Passover to those of you that celebrate!

Happy Passover! Your table decoration looks good!

When I saw that pushup challenge, I wondered why 11? Such a random number. You look great doing them, your form is perfect!

Happy Passover! Your centerpiece looks great!

I’m jealous of how much rain you got. It rained a little here on Monday, but nowhere near what was forecast. We had a steady rain on Friday morning, but unfortunately it moved out by lunch and much earlier than expected. It’s so dry – we need those April showers!

Happy Passover! I love your centerpiece!

This is one of those weeks when we had all the seasons — except summer. That drop into the 30s took me by surprise.

The 100 Day badge stuck up on me!

Wishing you a Happy Passover, and a great day with family 😉 So much rain! Knock wood, it’s been pretty dry here…and windy. I’m so glad you got me on the Tunde fitness train…she’s a beast, but I LOVE her dearly 😉

Happy Passover! Your push-ups look great! So sorry about your weird weather but I know you love the outdoors (almost) no matter what. It’s always nice to get some fresh air even if we need that extra jacket.
    Your tulip decoration is beautiful!

Well, now we know why April is the cruelest month! You got little glimpses of spring amidst the cold and rain.
I miss pushups! But, my wrists were bothering me so much, and ever since I stopped doing pushups (and planks, other than forearm planks) I have had NO problems. Just looking at you in pushup position makes my wrists hurt. It’s too bad, because they are a great exercise.
Happy Passover! I love your table decoration.

Have you tried doing push ups with your arms on weights to support your wrists?

Way to go on the pushups! I struggle with push ups and yeah, I know to get better at push ups, you have to do more push ups! LOL I can do a few but I don’t think I can do 11.

So many of the Peloton classes have push ups so I am sure that has helped!

Gosh I can’t do one pushup at the moment, but I’ll get there! Well done on beating the showers and working around the workmen.

I hope you had a beautiful Passover. I was actually dog/house sitting for a family who went out of town for their big dinner.

I can absolutely not do 11 regular pushups. On my knees, probably. I hate them, though.
