    • Wow how is it June already? Spring and summer are my favorite times of the year-why does it seem like they always go by so much faster than January does? So here we are at another Ultimate Coffee Date. I love to write and read these posts so much. Grab a chair and a big cup of coffee and join me and my co hosts-Coco and Lynda.
    • If we were having coffee,I would tell you…May was such blur with Ragnar Cape Cod, mother’s day, my son’s birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary all in one week!
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I forgot how much I love doing triathlon races! Just did my first race in long time and loved it. I forgot how hard it is to run off the bike. I’ve got a bigger race in August so let the bricks begin again.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…my baby girl is about to graduate from high school. How did that happen? Can’t wait to celebrate next week.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…we are off to Hawaii soon to celebrate her graduation and our 20th anniversary. We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon and now we are going back as a family. I can’t wait to experience it all together. Stay tuned for lots of pics.
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I can never figure out what to get my husband for Father’s Day! He is so hard to buy for!
    • If we were having coffee, I would tell you…we have our monthly MRTT Welcome Run this morning. I love to meet the new members and catch up with old friends too. So I better “run” ….
  • If we were having coffee, What would you tell me? Father’s Day ideas? Summer Travel plans?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Wow, busy month for you ! My girls are going to be a freshman and junior. How did that happen ?! Have a great time in Hawaii, it will be a wonderful family trip I am sure.

My husband has several hobbies so I usually don’t have too hard a time finding and idea. If I am stuck, I just ask him. I prefer being pratical rather than wasting money !

You did have a busy May! I’m curious how you run after biking. I always have jelly legs. It’s wonderful you are going to Hawaii. They do grow up so quickly, don’t they? My middle son graduates next year. Yeah, it’s hard to buy for my husband. If he wants or needs anything, he just goes and gets it.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/06/2015 at 10:07 am

It’s super hard to run off the bike. Jelly legs indeed! That is what I will be working on this summer.

I hope you have a fabulous time on your trip to Hawaii and congrats to your daughter for graduating 🙂 I saw on your about you page that you’re a RRCA Certified Running Coach. Hi Amanda- so glad you joined us. I love these posts. I just recently passed my RRCA cert course. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet. They don’t offer them that often so I would check out when it is so you don’t miss out. It’s an interesting course. Hope to connect with you more. Have a great weekend!

Father’s Day gifts are hard. How about a new bathing suit and Hawaiian shirt for the trip? My husband likes gadgets of all kinds so that is usually my go-to gift. But even that is getting hard to keep up with.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/08/2015 at 3:10 pm

It is hard to keep up with. I went with a new Eagles jersey so far and maybe a Hawaiian shirt too. 🙂
