Ultimate Coffee Date Ragnar Edition

If we were having coffee I would tell you,…

I am currently somewhere between San Francisco and Napa Valley running our 200 mile Ragnar race. My first leg is a 3.5 ish mile run over this Golden Gate bridge. How cool is that? Hoping it’s not too foggy and I can see where I am going. I had a chance to run over it last year with a friend.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

After staying up all night running around California, I am going to need some serious caffeine so I hope you will save me some. Our start time was 5:30 am Friday and we should finish the relay around 7 pm on Saturday. Whew! I will need lots of coffee or wine. Both?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

I’ve got a jam packed November coming up. It’s a birthday month for me and the hubs in a few weeks. Keeping it low key this year but there will be a birthday cake or 2. Also in a moment of weakness, signed up to run the Philly half in 3 weeks. Should be a fun filled an interesting month around here.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

They make coffee beer – so maybe coffee wine? My brother just tried the Dunkin one and it’s supposedly pretty good.
I hope you had a clear run – look forward to your photos.
Another November birthday. That’s at least 5 of us I think. We are the best afterall.

Looks like you are having fun so far! I got zero sleep when I did Ragnar and needed to go to bed ASAP after I was done — after a long hot shower and food! It would be hard to have to travel home afterwards.

I hope to see you soon around our birthdays!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      11/05/2018 at 12:22 am

Sleep deprived for sure but it’s worth it! Yes hope we get to meet up soon to celebrate our birthdays

I’m sure you are having tons of fun! Hmm, coffee or wine…I think I might try for super early bedtime (and lots of coffee in the morning).

      11/05/2018 at 12:25 am

Lots of coffee was needed and probably will be needed for days!

Have a fantastic time. I have always wanted to run a Ragnsr race. I have never been to San Francisco. I hope I get that layover sometime
I wanted to run Philly but unfortunately I have to work that weekend. I have a busy month too as it is also my birthday coming up as well with some trips in my future.

Enjoy your Ragnar experience! I have a friend who did the Napa and the San Diego ones. She loved it. I on the other hand don’t find it appealing. I like my bed too much. Lol.
Have a glass of wine for me, Cheers!
