Oh, 2023 you sure threw me some punches both emotionally and physically. My year of running took a few hits and required some pivoting however, my running shoes still took me to some incredible places. It’s always fun to take a look back. So here goes my year in photos 2023.
My year in photos 2023
January 2023
I was thrilled to be back on the Brooks Run Happy Team for 2023.
February 2023
Running with Wendy (yes we are twinning), Erica and Cynthia on Chicago’s Lake Front trail was a treat on a chilly morning.
March 2023
This was the month where things kind of went off the rails for me temporarily.I had trained so hard for the NYC Half race and was not able to run it last minute. I still went to NYC and made the most of my visit. I jumped into a photo with the leprechauns, hung out with Cari of course and met up my Matt Wilpers from Peloton.
April 2023
While I did not run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler, I was able to hang out with a few of my favorite runners.
April 2023
A dreamy vacation was just what we needed. Back to running on the beach in ST. Thomas was a breath of fresh air.
May 2023
May had me back out with the squad enjoying the spring flowers.
Another trip to Chicago had the hubs and I running along Lake Shore Trail together.
June 2023
June brought us to Cali for a wedding in Berkeley and a few days in Napa.
My husband trained for a Father’s Day 5K with me that we had a lot of fun running together.
July 2023
July took us on an epic 3 week adventure in Italy. I am still dreaming about all the delicious pasta and pizza we enjoyed.
A picture perfect hike in Postino
Our run tour in Florence was one of the best days we had.
August 2023
Another trip to NYC had me sweating it out and lifting heavy with Andy Speer at Peloton.
September 2023
September had me meeting up with my mom and daughter at Canyon Ranch in Lennox, Mass. We took advantage of all the classes and girls’ time together.
October 2023
My running shoes came along with me to Las Vegas.
November 2023
November was full of birthday celebrations, meet ups with friends, Thanksgiving family time and more.
December 2023
We headed off for our usual Hanukkah and Christmas in Aruba for 2 weeks. The best part was being all together again. I did have lots of fun walking on the beach and paddle boarding.
In a year where I was really challenged and felt like I did not accomplish much, it was good for me to look back and see that I had so many opportunities to be thankful for. And, I really am thankful for the friends and family in my life as those are the true gifts.
Thanks for coming along on my trip down memory lane with my 2023 year in photos.
Thanks for helping to make the Runners’ Roundup a huge success by visiting all of the hosts: Me, Debbie, Jen, Lisa
