I am fairly new to blogging and was so nervous to get started. I wondered if anyone would care what I had to say or bother to take the time to read any of my posts. Feelings I am sure all of you have had at one point or another. As most of you know it takes lots of time and effort to create each and every blog post. It’s a great feeling to know that people are enjoying reading your posts.
I am feeling like I am starting to find my voice and I am more comfortable writing and posting my thoughts. I’m beginning to form relationships with other bloggers, especially those in the Wash Dc area, and I truly enjoy reading so many of your blogs.
I was so surprised and honored when I was nominated for a “Liebster Award” by two of my friends. Michele at http://apaceofbalance.blogspot.com/ and Briana at http://matmilesmedals.com/
What is a “Liebster Award” you ask?
It’s an online award given by bloggers to fellow bloggers as a “high five” and aims to help grow the following of some newer blogs. It’s such a nice way for more established bloggers to help out us newbies.
- Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog
- Answer 11 questions the nominating blogger asked you
- Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
- Nominate 5 – 11 small blogs that you feel deserve the award, and let them know
- Create a new list of questions for the nominees to answer

I love reading Q&As like this.
I’m also surprised by how supportive the blogging community is! I didn’t think people would be interested in my little blog but I’ve made a lot of friends.
The Ragnar race sounds interesting – I can’t wait to read about your training!

Deborah! I loved all of your answers! Ohhhh…Bora Bora is on my list too. I don’t think I’d ever come back though, lol. I was definitely nervous to start sharing my blog to the world. But I came across some of the mutual blogging friends we have and it has been a wonderful experience. I like the small group I have come to know and I look forward to connecting with you all in the future.

I would love to run a Ragnar race one day- they sound like SO much fun (plus what a great accomplishment, right? )! I’m a huge fan of compression sleeves and compression socks. The few times that I run without sleeves, I’m shocked to feel how different it actually is!
Deborah Brooks says
I am really excited for Ragnar and kind of scared at the same time. I think it will be a great experience. Thanks for stopping by for coffee.

Ohhh Bora Bora- that is on my bucket list. We almost went there for our 10th anniversary but we didn’t have enough time off work to enjoy it. Most of the time off would have been traveling. That’s no fun!
Good luck on your Ragnar training!
Deborah Brooks says
I hope we both get there someday!
