If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

June Ultimate Coffee Date

I’m so happy that my daughter is back from her semester abroad in Israel. She has been studying in Tel Aviv since mid January and I’ve missed her so much. It was fabulous to live vicariously through all of her adventures through Europe the past few months but I am so glad to have her back for the summer. This momma is so happy when all of her baby birds are home in the nest together.

June Ultimate Coffee Date

This weekend officially kicks off all of our graduation festivities for son. My baby is graduating and next week and our graduation party is tomorrow. While I do miss the days of paper invites and correspondence, planning a party with Paperless Post is a breeze. They have so many great options for all kinds of party themes. Hoping the weather cooperates for our pool party otherwise, I will have lots of BBQ eating kids inside the house.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

This was my first week of following the workouts from Coach Amber for my triathlon training. She is a big fan of the heart rate training, which I have never done. I’d say my first week was tough and I really did not complete the workouts as directed. Baby steps!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…

As soon as we finish all of our graduation festivities next week, we are jetting off to Italy for a fun family vacation. More on that later of course. I am already dreaming about Gelato and pasta…

I’ve been rambling on our whole Ultimate Coffee Date! It’s your turn, if we were having coffee together what would you tell me?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Yay on your daughter being home! And your son graduating! I hope the weather cooperates for the party. Wow on your trip to Italy. I’ve never been there. I guess you got a HRM for your Fenix?

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/02/2018 at 7:10 am

Yes lots of exciting things going on! I am so over our weather though and it’s only June. I did get a HRM but I really have no idea how to use it for training. It has me in the default zones which I do not think are right for me. So I am already frustrated!

Happy Graduation to your son! How wonderful to have the nest full for a bit! Has Coach Amber given you the FPT test? That’s a killer but its the best way to calculate training HR zones. OMG Italy sounds divine. What parts will you visit?

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/02/2018 at 7:12 am

I will check out the FPT test I am not familiar with it thanks! Yes it’s great to have everyone home together. We are going to stay in Lake Garda up near Milan with day trips to Venice, Bologna and Verona. I am sure it will do wonders for my figure lol

I see you’ve bought the “new” Starbucks mug. I think they are pretty, but am having a hard time not collecting the other style. 😉 I agree! Having all the baby birds at home makes this Mom happy too! I hope you enjoy your vacation. I am beachside with my feet up as we speak. Thanks for the coffee!

    • Deborah Brooks says

      06/05/2018 at 5:24 pm

So I never bought any of the original collection of the mugs and I felt left out 🙂 So-I decided to try with this collection.
