A Week at Canyon Ranch Weekly Run Down

Thanks for joining Kim and Me for the weekly run down. This week, I was fortunate enough to spend most of the week at Canyon Ranch in The Berkshires with my mom and my daughter. Here’s a peek into our activities and experiences together there in beautiful Lenox, Mass.

weekly run down

A Week At Canyon Ranch

Sunday- Peloton Cycle and core

Monday- Peloton walk + core + upper body

Still keeping kind of low key to let the Prolotherapy work it’s magic. I am still feeling a little sore in my butt cheek. Later, spent some time out at the pool (it was a hot one!) before meeting some friends for bowling in the evening.

Tuesday-Peloton cycle + travel to Lenox

Weekly run down

I had just enough time for a quick Peloton class before heading out to the airport. I met my mom and we flew up to Lenox, Mass to meet my daughter for a few days at Canyon Ranch. We arrived just in time to jump into a Therabody foam rolling class that felt so good after traveling.

Weekly run down

We walked around the property a bit and then headed to dinner. I was the first one to fall asleep-they are night owls for sure.

Wednesday- yoga + stretching + BOGA Fit + Battle ropes + meditation + massage

It was a busy day at the ranch! We started with the athletic yoga, stretch class, BOGA fit class (may favorite of the day) a battle ropes class and meditation. Right before dinner I had a massage. I slept so well!

The BOGA Fit Mat class was a blast and my most fave of the day. I was the only one in there and had lots of fun with the instructor. It was really about relaxing and trusting myself (not always easy!).

Thursday-Cardio yoga + core class + Archery clinic + rowing class + Theragun class

It was another packed fitness day here at Canyon Ranch. I really enjoyed the cardio yoga class more than I expected to. Then, the 3 of us took a great Archery clinic. We had lots of fun and learned a lot. Later, I took a guided foam rolling and Theragun class which hit the spot after a long day. I ended my day with a facial.

Friday-power vinyasa yoga + Pilates + Tai Chi + Peloton cycle + Aerial Yoga

We enjoyed another action packed day at the ranch. I’ve been enjoying trying out new fitness classes and seeing which I liked and which I did not. I even fit in a short Peloton cycle to keep up my streak today.

The most favorite and fun thing today was aerial yoga with my daughter. Once I realized I was not going to fall on my head, I relaxed and really enjoyed.

Saturday- travel home with lots of delays due to thunderstorms everywhere! Flight was delayed 8 hours (its a 52 min flight!) so not sure when I am getting home.

I had such an amazing few days spending time with 2 of my most favorite people. I can’t be annoyed about the travel delay at the end. It was great to try new experiences and revisit some old favorites. More on my favorite activities at Canyon Ranch next week.

Wow! That sounds like so much fun. You are lucky your Mom and daughter will try all those things with you. I think I’d need to go for a girls weekend (hint, hint).

Sounds like the storms that delayed your return are the same ones that canceled my flight to BOS. Hope you are home now!

We had so much fun together. My mom did not do all of the activities that we did but we still took a few classes together daily. Yes, I got home at 12:30 am due to storms

Awhhh, what a great week with your mom and daughter! I wondered about the aerial yoga…I’d be paranoid about bumping my head, too. I can see where it would be tough to relax with that kind of paranoia.

I was scared at first but they have great instructors and spotters. After the first few minutes I was very relaxed

How lovely to have all that family time doing excellent activities. I’d be scared I’d fall on my head with that aerial yoga thing so it’s good to know you (probably) don’t!
