Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week was pretty low key around here. Just what I needed! Here is a peek into my not so exciting week of fitness.

A Low key week -Weekly Run Down

Sunday-travel home

It was another travel day home from the wedding we attended in Connecticut. I got in a few airport walks and a Peloton stretch and that’s about it.

Monday-Peloton tread hike + lower body strength + core

It always feels good to get back to my scheduled workouts especially on a Monday. After doing some grocery shopping , I spent the afternoon meal prepping some veggies and proteins for the week.

Tuesday- 4 miles run/walk + stretch + afternoon 3 mile walk

A little rain did not stop this crew from getting out and getting our miles in. Later, I met up with another friend for a drizzly walk.

Weekly run down

Wednesday-Peloton tread boot camp + afternoon walk 2.55 miles

It was yet another rainy, dreary day around here. I did a fun tread boot camp with alternating intervals of incline walking and strength sets. It was fun! Later, I thought there was a break in the sky but, got drenched on my afternoon hill walk. Oh well!

Thursday4 ish miles of run/walk + Pilates core + stretch

After a morning storm, it was another crazy humid run with a little drizzle. I am anxiously awaiting that cooler, less humid weather.

Weekly run down

Friday – Peloton tread hike + core + upper body strength

It’s yet another rainy day here! A Peloton tread hike was the perfect companion to my upper body strength and standing core. While this month was challenging, I did manage to hit my 15K badge today so I should still make it to 20K for the year.

Low key week

Saturday- 3.5 mile  walk

It finally stopped raining (briefly) today and I took advantage of a nice outdoor hilly walk. I was happy to see I hit my 500th walk as well.

It was a pretty low key week around here and that was just what I needed.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I too enjoyed a more low key week. It’s been a busy time! I’m glad to see you’ve been able to keep up with your workouts and that Peloton challenge. I hope you get some much needed sunshine!

Sunshine will not appear for a few more days!

Very low-key here, dealing with having Covid. Average of 1,000 steps a day and many hours of sleep! So nice to see everyone getting out there in some form or another!

I sure hope you are on the mend this week!

sometimes we all need a low key week to reset ourselves! we also had rain on and off especially towards the end of the week. nice job hitting 500 walks!

I often walk with friends and therefore, don’t use Peloton so it’s always nice to hit a milestone

    Low key is needed sometimes.

We had rain too. It was a long time coming. But…

I was supposed to spend the weekend in CT. Westport. But today is my Mil’s 99th birthday.

Enjoy the wedding and done downtime.

99 is quite the milestone! Definitely worth celebrating!

As you know, there’s nothing wrong with a low-key week, and they’re usually well-earned 😉 So much rain for you. We’re in a drought here, but I dare not complain too much because I don’t want an excess of rain either.

    • Deborah Brooks says

      09/29/2024 at 8:57 am

It makes it hard to get outside and just so dreary!

Travel is tiring, and you have been doing a lot of it lately! That said, I still think your week was very active. You got in lots of runs, walks, and strength training. I definitely wouldn’t enjoy all that rain- I hope next week is clear and COOL for you!

It makes it hard to get outside and very dreary! I am waiting for fall…

Sounds like you did great staying active. The humidity this week was crazy.

Was that Matty’s new bootcamp you did?

    • Deborah Brooks says

      09/29/2024 at 8:59 am

It was pretty oppressive this week for sure. Yes, I did Marty’s boot camp. They are always a challenge a fun way to mix things up

Uff, all that rain sure must drive up the humidity. I don’t envy you but good for you for getting out there.
And huge congrats to reaching 15k minutes this week!

Doesn’t it feel good to get back in the routine after traveling? I am so over this drizzly weather and was thankful for a brief break yesterday.
