August Runfessions and Confessions

I always think I won’t have any Runfessions or Confessions to share. Then, I start writing and here they come. So, I’ve got a few August tidbits to share today. Let’s jump right in. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.

Runfessions

August 2023 Runfessions and Confessions

Runfessions and Confessions #1

While I told you all about my adventures getting into and taking a class at Peloton in NYC a few weeks ago, what I did not tell you was this. The day before I left for NY, I realized that I was at class #893. If I got into the cycle class, I wanted to be at class #900 so I would get a special shoutout from Denis the instructor. So, yes I did do six 10 and 20 min classes just in case. Unfortunately, I did not get into the cycle class after all. LOL, I know it sounds a little insane. That is how we Peloton fans roll.

Runfessions and Confessions #2

I often hear weird noises when my husband is away on travel. Last week was no exception. I was upstairs in our bedroom watching TV when I heard what sounded like a phone ringing somewhere in the house. Well, my phone was with me and I was the only one in the house. Or was I?

Of course, I am thinking what any logical person would: someone broke into our house and forgot to silence their phone. Ha! So I already had turned on the security system hours before, but I was still kind of freaked out. I mean, we don’t have any other phones.

I called my husband and made him stay on the phone with me while I checked the entire house. He of course  thought I was ridiculous. But, I never did find out where that ringing was coming from! What would you have done?

I guess I did have a few things to confess and runfess after all! I will save the rest of my stories for the September Ultimate Coffee Date next week! “See you” there!

You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

I totally get both of your runfessions. I don’t do Peleton but I remember wanting to hit 1000 miles by Jan 1.

yes, it is motivating to have the milestones pop up!

It used to be comforting having the dogs with me when my husband is away. They are their own alarm system. Except Bandit, even though he seems to hear okay, no longer reacts to sounds at night. Or at least he never even stirs when my husband comes home from a trip and comes in (it wakes me up!).

Yup, Peloton fans are insane. 🙂

I never did find out where that ringing came from! Yes, we Peloton fans can be a little nuts

That’s a funny story about the Peloton classes. Well, you’ll just have to go back when you’re at another milestone! Now you have experience and know better how to get into a class.
That ringing sound would definitely freak me out too. I wonder what it was???

I definitely have to go back! I never did find out what the ringing was!

Aww what a bummer you didn’t make it into the studio for #900. I’m glad you got in for Andy Speer though! The ringing is weird. Could it have been outside?? This is one of the reasons I like having a dog.

I never found out where it came from! I would have seen anyone outside on the cameras…

I hear all kinds of foreign noises at night (never in the daytime, LOL). The fact that Max is oblivious conforms it’s just me & my imagination.

It was definitely not my imagination this time!

Hearing things like that would freak me out. If Scooby’s not bothered, I tend to not get too worried, but he’s not always the best guard dog — if your not the mailman or a cat, he might let you slide.

      I was definitely freaked out!

Ah, bummer that you didn’t get into the live class for 900. I would have done the same thing (taking these shorter classes) to get to the milestone class… sometimes it takes some planning ahead to make those milestones hit at the right time.

On that note, I hit 1000 today and got a shoutout in Matt’s Live Class this morning. That was the highlight of my week! 🙂

that is a great highlight! Nice

When my husband is out of town or I’m home alone, I booby trap the whole house. Once I’m in for the night, I check every room, under every bed, and in every closet. Then I turn on certain lights, block certain doors, and lay out my escape routes. Totally normal lol.

well, nice to know I have company in my craziness 🙂
