I Runfess, I almost forgot all about today’s Runfessions post. Further, I confess, that this month just flew by. How can we be at Thanksgiving weekend already?! I am sitting here in the quiet house before the family awakes for a busy day of prep and celebrating. Thanks to Marcia for hosting.
Thanksgiving 2022 Runfessions and Confessions
I runfess and confess…
I just love having the whole family together under one roof. It is so easy to take that time for granted when the kids are little. They all really do grow up so fast and fly the coop to live their own lives. This mama is so very thankful and happy to have my nest full for a few days. This photo is from last weekend with my 2 kids and my daughter’s boyfriend.
I runfess and confess…
I was not able to swing my favorite turkey trots this year due to travel. We created our own MRTT Turkey Run yesterday. It’s always the best way to start Thanksgiving day and stress-free. So very thankful for my run squad today and every day. I don’t know what I would do without them.
I runfess and confess…
I used to “just run” without much structure unless I was specifically training for a race and building mileage. In the past year, since participating in the Team Wilpers run program, I find I am really enjoying the structure and more specific pace guidance. The Holiday Challenge just started this week. Was it the best timing for me? Maybe not but that is one thing that makes me love it. Having a specific weekly plan in my off season keeps me motivated.
That’s about all I’ve got today! Hope you all had a wonderful, happy Thanksgiving. See you next Friday for the Ultimate Coffee Date.

I’ve enjoyed the “full nest” as well! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! Thanks for ‘fessing!

Thanks for hosting! Enjoy your fam while they are there

My nest was full but my oldest stayed at his place. Still, it’s so much fun to get everyone together! Good luck with the Wilpers challenge! I’m going to work on speed and short distances next year, so I’ll have to consult you about that!
Deborah Brooks says
Maybe you can join in on the next challenge! It really is nice to have everyone together -hectic but nice
Coco says
Happy Thanksgiving! Your MRTT Turkey Trot sounds perfect. I’m always too stressed about meal prep to do any of the bigger events.
It was hard NOT having my son home yesterday, but his wife’s family needs to see them once in a while, so I get it.
Deborah Brooks says
I am exhausted after hosting last night but it is always good for me to get in some running before hand

I agree, it’s wonderful to have the nest full, even if it’s just for a few hours. Time certainly speeds up, faster with each year (and week, LOL). I’d love to be in on the next Wilpers challenge…hoping the few remaining niggles will be history after the New Year.
Deborah Brooks says
yes it is nice to have everyone home 🙂 Smart idea to wait until things feel good to join into the challenge
Michelle says
Yay for a full house! It’s the best, isn’t it? Enjoy your time together!
Deborah Brooks says

I’m not sure I’ll get back to Turkey Trots when I can (we have to get on the road too early to make a race) . . .but maybe. I used to do the Turkey Trot and then host Thanksgiving. 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
It is a lot for one day!
Cari says
Love the matching pajamas!
I feel you on the structure of Matt’s classes and so glad you flagged them. I haven’t been able to follow this one to a tee, but it’s a good reminder to get out there and focus
Deborah Brooks says
Yes, I have really enjoyed the structure it’s a nice change for me
