So far my summer has been all about getting out and enjoying “all the things.” From running, to swimming to biking I am trying to be outside as much as possible enjoying all the activities I love. With this crazy humidity, it can be challenging to stay fueled and properly hydrated. I was excited to have the opportunity to try out Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water to see how it held up to my weekly workout schedule.
For the past few days, I’ve done just that. I’ve taken my Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water with me everywhere. All or nothing that’s me! I wanted to see how it held up to my workouts. But first a little info on Gelolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water.
Where Will Your Water Take You?
Some describe Gerolsteiner Mineral Water as nature’s sports drink. Bottled at the source, mineral water naturally contains calcium (84 mg) and magnesium. Two of the very essential minerals our bodies need everyday and especially important to replenish after exercise. With no sugar or sweeteners added, Gerolsteiner Mineral Water is naturally calorie free. Find out more about the health benefits of mineral water here.
Where did my water take me this week?
On my run
Hot Yoga class
Cycling
Family dinner table
A few years back when I gave up drinking diet soda, sparkling water was my go to. I loved the bubbles and they gave me the same sensation and satisfaction of drinking a carbonated beverage without the harmful ingredients. I’ve never looked back since! This past week I have enjoyed the clean, crisp taste of Gerolsteiner and how easily I fit it right into my active lifestyle.
I am the first to admit that summer can be a time of over indulging a bit and why not? Work hard, play hard and enjoy it. Come September, it’s the perfect time to start anew and get back to healthier habits. I invite you to join me for the #SparklingDetox 5 Day challenge.

More calcium and magnesium is helpful with endurance exercise. Drinking more water is always a good thing and a great habit to embrace!
Deborah Brooks says
I agree it’s helpful to do a little self analysis every once in a while so this challenge should be fun

This is probably one of the best and easiest challenges to sign up for! I love that this water has so many benefits as well – like more calcium and magnesium.
Deborah Brooks says
Yes indeed a super easy challenge! See you there I hope
Rachel says
We’ve been drinking it at dinner, too! Though I should slow my roll and hang onto it for the challenge… 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
Oh right I forgot about that!

I love sparkling water too! I was first introduced to it and Europe and have been addicted ever since I first went many years ago.

I’m already doing a reset. 🙂 But then again, I have a half in about 6 weeks & would rather go into it at a good racing weight! And feel good in my running clothes!
Deborah Brooks says
Right there with you that’s my plan for September
Marina @ Happy Healing says
I love sparkling water! Definitely healthier for you than diet soda. We just got a Sodastream which has been awesome!! Hope you have a great weekend 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
We have the Sodastream too I love it!
Nicole @ Fitful Focus says
I basically only drink still water and coffee during the week. I’m not a huge fan of carbonated beverages, but I’d be willing to give this a shot for the mineral power 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
It would be fun to try!
Abbey Sharp says
Love this challenge! Great way to drink more water! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Deborah Brooks says
It is a fun one and easy to do

I have tried (numerous times) to acquire a taste for sparkling water, but the fizzy-ness just isn’t my thing. I seldom ever drink soda anymore, but I think I drank that more for the flavor than the carbonated nuance. Go YOU! Maybe I’ll try to join you with a “plain water” detox of my own. 😉
Deborah Brooks says
That sounds good too! Join us
Liz @ I Heart Vegetables says

I did the challenge last year and enjoyed it. The only thing I finally cheated on was my coffee because I started having headaches after a couple days. I do love Gerolsteiner, though.
Deborah Brooks says
I know not sure how I can get through the no caffeine
Meranda@Fairytalesandfitness says
Good for you for giving up the soda! I don’t like carbonation or bubbling beverages so I’d have to pass on this.
Deborah Brooks says
Ah Too bad thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Hmmm I keep hearing about this challenge…maybe it’s a sign to participate 😉 Gotta admit though, giving up the coffee would be hard for me!
Deborah Brooks says
Giving up the coffee will be very challenging indeed!
