This was a crazy busy week with lots of Holiday Hustle! Fun but exhausting. I did my best to keep up my workouts and stay on track with exercise and eating well. Not always easy this time of the year is it? Joining in with Holly and Wendy to share my week.

Holiday Hustle

Monday- 30 min elliptical + 60 min strength training + 3 mile hilly afternoon walk

I knew this week was going to be the start of my holiday hustle and I wanted to start my Monday off strong. Took advantage of a warm and sunny day and had a great afternoon walk with a friend.

Tuesday- 4 mile run + end of season girls on the run party

Was hoping for a longer run but it didn’t happen. Tuesday afternoon was our end of the year celebration for Girls On The Run. Giving 70 girls pizza and cupcakes turns them into a crazy, wild bunch. Sad to see our season come to an end.

holiday hustle

Wednesday- 90 min strength training/kickboxing  + 20 min elliptical

Lots of lunges and today!

holiday hustle

Thursday- 3 mile run and coffee birthday breakfast for a friend

The best runs end with coffee and breakfast. Off to 2 parties in the evening for the hubs work stuff. Holiday hustle in full swing!

holiday hustle

Friday- 60 min Ashtanga yoga + MRTT Holiday party

I usually do more of a vinyasa flow and this ashtanga yoga was much more challenging and reminded me how tight my hamstrings are!

In case you did not see my photos posted everywhere, I hosted our 5th annual Moms Run This Town Holiday Party. We had over 40 ladies there and it was the best ever. My heart is full. It’s always fun to see your running friends in real clothes!

#FastFriends

Saturday- 60 min hot yoga

Slept in until 9:15 which felt amazing. Hit up a noon hot yoga class. Last party of the week at the Indian Embassy. I was really looking forward to this one. We had the amazing opportunity to celebrate Hanukkah at the Embassy of India. First time wearing a Sari.

Sunday-Jingle All The Way 15K

And that wraps up my crazy week of Holiday Hustle! Are you in the midst of crazy holiday parties and events this week?

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Oh. I want more details on the Hanukkah party.

Running friends are the best. I went to a party with mine last night

I could do a 15k today but decided to downgrade to the 3m. Good luck with yours.

It was a really cool experience to go to the Indian embassy. I really was not aware of the Indian/Jewish connection until quite recently. I’d love to learn more

You still got in a lot of workouts even though your week was busy! I don’t really have any holiday parties (other than ones during the work day) which is good because I don’t think I could handle doing anything else at this point! It’s definitely a busy time of year.

Thankfully this was my busiest week! Hope to take it a little more easy this week. You are getting super close to labor day 🙂
