Happy Sunday! I, for one am glad to say Hello to February this year. It’s been a tough few weeks and I am happy to see a new month roll around. Fortunately, I’ve kept pretty busy this week! Let’s get right to the Weekly Wrap Hello February.
Weekly Wrap Hello February
Monday-30 minutes elliptical + 60 minutes strength training
Tuesday-4.25 mile run
Crazy windy and cold day but that won’t “stop” us.
Wednesday-20 min elliptical + 90 min strength training/boxing
Thursday- 4 mile run
Warmer temps and sunshine had us goofing around a bit mid run.
Friday- Vinyassa Yoga
Finally made it back to yoga this week. Checked out a new boutique studio. Namaste
Saturday- For the Love 10K
This week officially marks the start of the Cherry Blossom ten miler training! This is one of my favorite all time DC races. This will be my 7th time running it and this year, I am lucky enough to be one of the race ambassadors as well. With the race 9 weeks away, this week’s “long run” called for 4-7 miles. I figured why not kick that off with a small, local 10K race? My only goal for today was to make it through the 6.2 miles without anything hurting afterwards. A super chilly day and a hilly race? No problem. We did it! will run for cookies any day.
Pretty solid week for the start of February. Looking forward to tackling the Cherry Blossom plan in the next few weeks.
Hope to see you tomorrow for Meatless Monday where I will be sharing my Hummus & Pistachio Crusted Tofu.
Linking up today for the Weekly Wrap Hello February with Hoho and Wendy
Also linking up with the Cherry Blossom Ten miler training. If you are training for the race link up with us here each week.

A race sounds like a good way to start off your training! I’m sure the cookies were a good way to say motivated. Great job with your workouts this week!
Thanks! it was a fun one
I love that the 10k ended with cookies. WHo wouldn’t want to sign up for that. Can’t wait to see how your training goes!
will run for cookies for sure!
Those cookies definitely look good enough to run for 🙂
Always great motivation!
Great job with all of your workouts this week!
I absolutely love the photo from the 10K! You all look so happy and like you had an awesome time, and the cookies looked good too!
We were very happy (and cold)!
Nice week and yes, I agree, it’s nice to move onto a new month. Glad to see that you are right back at it.
I wish I was training for the Cherry Blossom 10 miler!
thanks it is really helping! You could probably get a spot for the race if you really wanted one. Just saying 🙂
Definitely sounds like a solid week. Congrats on running for cookies on a cold weekend!
The cookies are great motivation!
Yay for the start of a new training cycle! Great job with your workouts this week. You have such an awesome workout tribe! I love seeing all the pics.
I do have the best group of running friends!

they are the best!
looks like a great, successful and productive week
Yes February is off to a better start
It sounds like your February is off to a good start. I, too, and ready to kick January to the curb and start a fresh, new month. 2018 got off to a bit of a rough and tumble start for me!
I hope it’s better for both of us!
It looks like a fun week with friends! I love mixing local races into training. Might as well, right? Nice work this week. And, I’d run for one of those heart cookies too! Thanks for linking!
Yes it’s fun to mix in a race for training as you say why not!?
Ooh, pistachio – sounds great. It was SO COLD on Saturday. Good for you for doing that 10K!
I am glad that I did it. Great to see you today
It seems like a lot of people are kicking off training this month. Good luck!
Yes I am looking forward to a new training plan starting
Oh, I so wish I could swing the Cherry Blossom 10-miler! It’s a lottery race, isn’t it? And, then, there’s the logistics of actually getting there LOL I definitely want to get there someday!
Yes it’s a lottery race but right now there is a bib exchange going on. Just saying! 🙂
can I just say you have a great tights collection. Way to kick butt this week!
ah thanks! It really helps to be a skirt sports ambassador they have great patterns.
I’m totally with you on being happy that we’re finally into February. I want either snow or spring! Come on, Mother Nature, give me something other than cold, colder, coldest! 😉
I know I feel like if it is going to be this cold we might as well get some real snow and not just icy roads
Checking out a new yoga studio is always fun. Great job with your workouts and congrats on being a CUCB ambassador this year!
Thanks so much
Great week! Those capris you are wearing on Thursday are so cute.
Oh thanks you know I love my skirt sports leggings
Any race that ends with coffee and cookies is my kind of race …and even better with friends! Solid week Deborah!
I totally agree on the cookies and friends!
Sounds like a great week! Ah love that you are training for the Cherry Blossom 10 miler! I remember doing that one when I was on the East coast. Great race!!
