Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week ended on a fun note with a quick trip to Chicago to do some wedding dress shopping with my daughter. More details to come!

Weekly Run Down Say Yes To the dress

Sunday- 3 mile power walk + Pilates and core

An easy cardio and core day. I had my parents and son over for dinner which was really nice.

Monday-core + upper & lower body strength + outdoor walk

It was a full workout day over here. I continued Tunde’s new upper body plan and added in a full body workout as well. I’m going to feel that tomorrow! After lunch, I met up with a friend for a walk.

Tuesday-Cherry Blossom walk + core

It was a gorgeous spring day and perfect to go check out the Cherry Blossoms on the tidal basin. The blossoms were almost at peak bloom and it’s always fun to go downtown and check them out. No matter how many times I’ve seen the iconic monuments in Washington, DC, it’s always a treat to walk around and enjoy them. See my instagram for more pics.

Wednesday-power walk + core + upper and lower body strength + afternoon walk

I had a great night sleep and woke up ready to take on the day! I’ve finished week one of Tunde’s upper body program and then tacked on a lower body workout.

I had my really mammogram today and this is my reminder to you to schedule yours!

Thursday-3 ish mile run/walk + full body strength +afternoon power walk 3 m + Pilates

It was a gorgeous spring morning for a short run. Later, I got in another full body strength workout and an afternoon 3 mile walk with my vest.

Friday-fly to Chicago & so much walking

A surprisingly short Clear line with the new facial recognition had me flying through security at DCA in under 5 minutes. That left me with more time than expected so I threw in a few “extra steps” Peloton walking classes and had a tour of terminal. I was up to 6k before boarding my flight to Chicago.

While my daughter was finishing her work day, I walked all around the Southport area in all the shops. And yes I did find a few cute things. We met up for a dog walk with her cute pup-Marlin before heading out to dinner with her and her fiance. By the time I hit my bed, I had over 18K steps and I was tired. Big day tomorrow!

Saturday-A full day of wedding dress shopping! + Peloton stretch

We had a full day of visiting bridal boutiques. It’s definitely surreal to watch my daughter try on wedding dresses. While she is not quite ready to say yes to the dress, we did find a few that she really liked. Not ready to show any of our choices yet but here’s a photo of me and the groom’s mom and sisters at the boutique.
