Weekly Run Down Pushups, Pilates and Pickles

Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. I spent a lot time in the gym this week performing lots of pushups and experimenting with pickles for a fun new recipe. Here’s a peek into my week.

Weekly Run Down pushups, pilates and pickles

Sunday-power walk + core + full body strength

After my day off yesterday, I was ready to get back at it. I met a friend for a hot and hilly power walk followed by a short strength session.

Monday-Peloton tread walk + upper body strength + core + afternoon walk

I do love a strong start to a Monday! I’m continuing to mix up my Peloton workouts and designed my own 4 week plan. More on that later. I’m continuing my goal to keep my daily steps up. Today’s afternoon walk with a friend was just what I needed to hit my goal.

Tuesday-core + lower body strength + power walk + Pilates

I was juggling having a few different workers in the house again today. Seems to be a recurring theme of late. Anyway, I managed to get all of my workouts in and get out for a nice power walk to celebrate Earth Day. It was 80 degrees today!

Wednesday-Peloton incline walk + upper body pull + core + afternoon walk + stretch

I had lot of energy today and got a lot done workout wise and around the house. It was another 80 degrees day! That happened really fast. An evening stretch felt so good. Why don’t I do those every night?

Thursday-3.5 mile run/walk + hip mobility + core

It was nice to get back out there with my run squad on a gorgeous sunny morning. I  think we had like 3 days of spring and have pivoted right in summer!

Friday-core + Full body strength

I finished off my week with a strong full body strength class. My afternoon had me doing some spring cleaning while waiting for the AC repairman.

In case you missed it, I made that viral pickle sandwich that was going around with my own twist. 10 out of 10 highly recommend if you like pickles. I will be making it again!

Saturday- 3 mile power walk + Pilates

We were dodging rain showers all day today but I managed to squeeze in a morning walk with a friend. I tried one of the new power Pilates classes on Peloton. I could use some practice with some of the moves for sure. That’s all she wrote this week!

Good job on juggling the workers in your house and fitting your workouts in!

I’ve seen that pickle sandwich on IG, too, but now that someone I know has tried it and says it’s good, I just might have to give it a try. 🙂

We seem to have nice weather during work week and then rain in the weekend.

    Glad it’s warming up.

Oh really? A pickle sandwich? It does sound really good actually- I’m going to try it (with vegan cheese). What kind of bread did you use?
Sounds like you had a great week and yes- you did jump right to summer! It must feel good to get out there with your run squad.

no bread is used-it is a low carb option. the melted cheese and the pickle become the “bread” of the sandwich. I have no idea if vegan cheese will hold up to this but please let me know!

Nice week! We haven’t had consistent summer-like feels yet, but the few (intermittent) days have been wonderful. It’s really cold and damp today, blah. Not sure if my outdoor run will happen or not…

Doesn’t it happen so often that spring suddenly turns into summer? Here we’re between spring and summer every week.
Great week, you have a very solid strength routine!
Pickles isn’t my thing but it sure must be fun to experiment with it.

That pickle recipe looks delish! I saw someone in my neighborhood walking with a weighted vest. I had to tell my husband all about it since he wasn’t familiar with that trend!

I am ALWAYS down for pickles! We don’t have them quite as often, but I do love them.

So glad you’ve been getting out with your run group! And yes, the heat is back for sure. Not my favorite in any way, shape or form.
