Weekly Run Down I Do Again

Sunday-Fly home from Nassau + Airport walk

We had a mid day flight back from Nassau. I took advantage of my extra time in the airport to get in my steps while listening to the new “walk and talk” Peloton class with Marty. This was a special class where he interviewed Mel Robbins. She is so good! If you are a Peloton user, check it out.

Monday-upper body strength and hiking + power walk

I was ready to get back at it after a great night’s sleep in my own bed. I’ve hopped back onto Rebecca’s 4 day hiking split which is 2 30 min upper body and 2 30 min lower body strength classes followed immediately by a 15 min hiking class. Later in the day, I headed out for a few more steps on a rare low humidity day.

Tuesday-2.5 mile power walk + core + lower body strength

I had plans to run with the group today but that did not happen as something came up in the morning. Made the most of a beautiful morning with a power walk. Later, I got in my lower body strength.

Wednesday-barre + upper body push + tread hike

It was a spicy and sweaty combo in the gym this morning. Later, I popped out for a mani pedi before pulling out my travel bags again,

Thursday-Fly to Las Vegas

We are off again! We had an early flight to Las Vegas where we met up with our kids and their significant others for a fun few days in Sin City. This is part of our anniversary celebration that we wanted to include our kids for. It was a toasty 98 degrees! Some of us walked around and people watched and shopped while some of us hit the casino.

Friday-tread hike + lower body strength

I was up early with the time change so I hit the gym (and so did everyone else!) it was busy. Logged in 20K steps today! It’s been so nice to be all together again for a few days.

I do again

Saturday-lots of walking

In went shopping with my daughter to get a few things for her upcoming engagement party etc and then…my husband and I renewed our wedding vows. It was total Vegas style complete with Elvis officiating! I do again!

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

What a lovely family photo! And renewing your vows Vegas-style is absolutely legendary! 😂

Well done on getting all those steps in, too! It’s not easy to fit in fitness with so much travelling. Will you have a quieter week ahead?
