Weekly Run Down Goodbye May!

thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week was mostly about getting back to my schedule and recovering from travel. Here’s a peek into my week.

Weekly Run Down

Sunday-airport walk and travel home

Today, I only had time for a Peloton airport walk before heading home from Las Vegas. The 3 hour time change messes me up a little as we got home late and stayed up until 1.

Monday-barre and core

I slept until 10 am-wow and yay. I needed a good night’s sleep. Today was about laundry and grocery shopping. We will call it another modified rest day.

Tuesday-Peloton hike + upper and lower body strength + core + stretch

Although today was Tuesday, it felt more like a Monday. As such, I did my normal Monday workout. I was always excited to see that Peloton is now offering hikes using weighted vests. I’ve started both the Tunde arms program and Adrian glutes and legs programs again and paired them for the next 4 weeks. Wish me luck!

weekly rundown

Wednesday-core + weighted vests tread walk + upper body

It was pouring rain again! So, a perfect day to another tread walk with the vest. Got in a core class and upper body workout before heading over to my sister’s house. She has not been feeling well so I made some meals for her kids.

Thursday-5 mile run/walk + core + barre + afternoon walk

I realized that it has been 2 weeks since I ran last-oops! It was so nice to catch up with my running friends for a trip to our favorite rose garden. I’m currently not in the bet running shape and they were gracious enough to do lots of walk breaks with me so I could make it there. It’s always a treat when everything is in full bloom.

May 2025 runfessions

Friday-Peloton power walk + lower body strength + core

Super challenging lower body class with Adrian. If you are a Peloton user, his 4 week Glutes and Legs program is killer in a good way.

weekly run down

Saturday-power walk + upper body strength + daily core

We stayed up way too late watching a movie and had a niece sleep in! It finally stopped raining after rain all week! It was a perfect for a power walk and then finishing off week 1 of Tunde’s upper body program.

Goodbye May! That’s all for this week! It felt good to get back on track in another structured strength program which will take me through most of June.

Glad to hear it’s stopped raining. What a strange spring it’s been.

I’m sure it feels good to be home–when do you travel next?

Nice job easing back into your workouts after your trip. Where is your favorite rose garden? is it part of the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens off of the W&OD Trail? I see that sign when I ride down your way, but have never ventured off the trail to explore it.

Peloton workouts are really such a great bargain for the price. They have everything!

Sounds like a good week (other than the jetlag and all the rain!) And it’s funny about running- I always find that nothing keeps me in shape for running other than running. I can be doing the most intense cardio cross training, and then when I come back to running I feel like I’m dying. Glad you were able to get out there with your friends though! I hope you have a SUNNY week.

Running/walking to a rose garden, that sounds fantastic!
And that legs/glutes program mixed with arms should be a good one for you. It’s always a bit messy to come home after a trip, isn’t it? Especially if jetlag is involved. Hope you’ll have a good week ahead.

My friend, Amy, was asking about my weighted vest yesterday (while we were riding …no, I wasn’t wearing it, though LOL). She does a lot of walking & we both agreed it would be a great way to up the intensity! See what you’ve started? 🙂

It’s always so nice to reunite with workout buddies! Glad everyone was accommodating on the pace. Looks like a very pretty place to run too! Have you been wearing your vest for all of your walks lately – indoors and out?

For once, I’m glad to see May go.

You had a great month, and I love that photo of you in the rose garden. How beautiful!
