Weekly Run Down Getting Outside

Thanks for joining Kim and me for the weekly run down today. This week, we had some really nice weather and I had a goal of getting outside every day. How did it go? Here is a peek into my week of fitness.

Weekly Run Down

Monday- core + full body strength + Peloton cycle + afternoon walk

After a whirlwind of a weekend, I am back home and ready to hit the ground running. With a little extra large coffee first, It was so nice out today that I had to get in a nice afternoon walk.

Tuesday- 5.5 mile tempo run + 2 mile walk + stretch

I am really enjoying the challenge of these Tuesday Tempo runs. It feels good to execute a plan right how I imagined. Another gorgeous day necessitated an afternoon walk.

Wednesday- core + full body strength + afternoon walk + stretch

A little bit of everything today. Since it was gorgeous out, I chose the walk instead of the bike today. The sun is nice this of the year before the intense heat and humidity roll in.

Thursday- run 5.5 miles + stretch

Thursday runs are now threshold runs. I am working on doing my recovery intervals slower so I can execute the paces on the faster intervals. Of course, I had to stop and grab this photo mid run when I saw the yellow flowers.

Friday- core + full body Peloton strength

It was raining this morning so I did not get outside today. I did do very heavy strength today ahead of my rest day tomorrow. I had an afternoon massage which was just what I needed to target a few little niggles this week.

Also, I had the whole week to myself over here but my husband and my son both came home today.

Saturday- rest day + stretch

My run workouts were hard this week and I am happy to have my rest day today. There will be a long stretch today. We are also Celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary today with a nice dinner out.

Sunday- On my plan 6-8 miles

Since I am currently not training for anything, I am using my Sunday run to keep my base up and do an easy run. It is also my son’s 22 nd birthday today so we will be celebrating him. It was a busy weekend!
