Thanks for joining me and Kim for the weekly run down. This week I’m coming to you from picturesque Croatia. My workouts are a little different this week. Here’s a peek into my week of fitness and travel.
Weekly Run Down From Croatia
Sunday- 3 mile walk + barre + core + yoga for hips
It was just too hot to run again with temps hovering near 100. I opted for a walk with a friend and a few Peloton classes to round out the day.
Monday-45 min Peloton hike + upper body strength + core +afternoon coffee
Love when a new month starts on a Monday! Happy July! We woke up to temps 20 degrees cooler than we have been which was a gift. I did my Peloton workouts in my gym then met a friend for a nice coffee walk in mid afternoon. We have to savor these days when they are offered!
Tuesday- 3.5 mile run/walk + Peloton barre, core + stretch
We were gifted with a much cooler day today and lower humidity-thanks Mother Nature this is just what I needed. It felt great to get a run in before leaving on our trip Wednesday.
Later, we had a birthday celebration for a friend at the new Olfactory in Georgetown where we made our own unique perfumes. Something fun and different to do as a group!
Wednesday-Peloton hike + upper body push + core + stretch
I was determined to get in a good solid workout before jetting off on vacation. Mission accomplished. I should be nice and sore by the time I get to my destination Thursday. We took a train up to Newark to catch our fight to Dubrovnik, Croatia this evening.
Thursday-travel to Croatia + Peloton walk
I was pretty tired by the time we arrived to Dubrovnik, Croatia. We made it to our friend’s boat where we will be spending a few days with them along the Adriatic. I figured a tread walk would help with jet lag. After a short nap, I woke up to this beautiful sunset with a view of the old city. Can’t wait to check out tomorrow.
It felt weird not be home for the 4th of July but I will adapt!
Friday-Peloton tread hike + core + touring Dubrovnik
Working hard to keep up my Peloton streak-I got in a decent tread hike before heading out for the day. Dubrovnik was a quaint town with unique architecture and gorgeous sea views. Temps are in the low 80’s and sunny so far. I mostly took video today so if you are interested, check out my IG.
Saturday-Peloton barre + core + touring Korcula
Close by to Dubrovnik, we toured around another beautiful town of Korcula. It was much less crowded and a nice breeze. The town was super cute with quaint alley ways and winding stairways to meander about in.
We have another few days exploring this wonderful country. I will be sure to share more here next week and on IG.
Looks lovey and how nice to keep up your streak, well done Deborah!
It’s a beautiful country
It looks so beautiful and historic in Croatia! I have a lot of patients from that area–one of my families was leaving to visit there this week! Enjoy your time away.
Making perfume sounds like fun. And Croatia looks like a gorgeous country. Enjoy.
The scenery is so pretty, it looks like a fabulous trip! Enjoy!
What a fun and scenic destination! The pics are fabulous, but I’m sure they don’t do it justice. Great job on keeping the fitness live & in motion while on vacation:-)
They do not do it justice at all
Croatia looks stunning and you both look so happy and relaxed!
Is there a tread on the yacht or are you staying at a hotel?
we are definitely relaxed! We do have a full gym here so I am doing a little bit each day
WHAT? Omg those photos are insanely beautiful. I LOVE the one with the boat on the sea with the mountains in the background. Sounds like you’re having an amazing time! I can’t wait to hear more about it.
we are having a great time thanks!
Beautiful photos! Croatia looks gorgeous. I have to ask – in that photo with you and your husband is the light grey dress Quince? I keep getting served ads for a dress that I love that looks like that but it’s Quince, which I’ve never bought from before!
Yes it is gorgeous! Yes the dress is quince I am new to them and have a discount code if you’d like it INFG-DEBORAHBROOKS1410 I think an extra 10% off
How fun to make your own perfume! Enjoy your holiday, it looks lovely there! I’ve heard lots of good things about Croatia.
It’s been fabulous so far!
Have a wonderful vacation. I went to Croatia as a teen but haven’t been back since… it looks beautiful!
I am loving it in every way!
I don’t know anything about Croatia, but seeing all of these pics has piqued my interest! It looks amazing. Enjoy!
It is a unique country! The people were very nice and beautiful scenery
