Sunday- Peloton core + Puppy Yoga

We will call today an active rest day. I did my Peloton core to keep up with the February challenge. My friend and I attended a puppy yoga class. They were too cute!

Later, it was Super Bowl time! Nothing like watching your team crush it for the win. Go Birds 🦅

Monday-core + upper body + hike + outdoor walk

I was feeling ready and motivated for a solid workout today. I’m back on Rebecca’s 4 day strength split and hike combo. Today was upper body pull. Later, I wanted to get in another good walk before the next round of snow rolls in. I shared some ideas for high protein snacks.

Tuesday-core +  lower body strength + hike + 3 mile walk

Love a good snow day! I got in a good 3 mile walk with a friend before the snow started. Today was day 2 of Rebecca’s strength split with lower body and a 15 min hike. Love this program so far!

Why runners make the best Valentines

Wednesday-core+ mobility+ upper body push + hike + stretch

I was so sore today but those weights are not going to lift themselves. We had a good 6-7 inches of snow that was very pretty. I couldn’t miss my snowy photo op.

weekly round own

Thursday-mobility + core + glutes and legs + power walk

things were still a little messy outside so I opted for a lighter indoor workout. Boy am I sore this morning! In a good way. I got my Valentine’s Day mani pedi of course.

Friday-outdoor power weighted power walk + upper body strength + core

Happy Valentine’s Day! It was a chilly day but I am always happy to get outside when I can for a nice hilly power walk. I did a quick upper body strength and core. My husband and I  took a fun Valentine’s Day cooking class with dinner.

weekly run down

Saturday- power walk + core

We will call this an active recovery day. I got in a nice walk before the rain rolled back in and then met my parents for lunch.

About Deborah Brooks

Hi I'm Deborah! I spend my days successfully raising a husband & 2 teens in the VA/DC area. I am a lover of all things running & fitness. As a life long vegetarian, I've always been passionate about healthy living & exercise. Looking for partners in crime, I started my own chapter of Moms Run This Town (MRTT) which has grown to over 700 members. I've met so many amazing women who inspire me daily to keep moving forward. You can usually find me running with my crew and training for the next crazy adventure they talked me into. I love to keep up to date on new running & fitness trends. I definitely choose my running gear based on color and love to express my fashion sense while exercising.

Well I was all about wearing red this week, but totally forgot to change out my nail color. Oops, LOL. Now about that Let It Snow sweater…I could easily replicate it, but I’d be an hypocrite wearing it (believe it or not). That cooking class sounds fun!

Ha I know I am kind of over the snow at this point but here it comes again

That’s a nice lot of snow: I don’t remember when we last had that much. I’ve got a sore achilles, I think possibly from some old flat trainers and then tight walking boots I’ve been walking about it, but I did manage to make myself look round a new gym to try locally so that’s something!

I often regret it when I wear boots or heels for too long. Hope that feels better soon!

A cooking class? Did you learn techniques or were you cooking a special dish? That sounds fun! And a puppy yoga class! Sounds way more fun than having a goat climb on you. haha!! Although I’m guessing all of the puppy licks would be a (good) distraction.

I am so not a goat yoga person! LOL WE are pretty experienced in the kitchen so more just a fun experience with friends
