Well hello November! Thanks for joining me and my co hosts Coco and Lynda for the November Ultimate Coffee Date. I always love these posts and have so much fun reading what you are all up to. So please grab your mugs and join us!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…November is always such a crazy busy time in our house. Both my husband and I have birthdays this week. We are exactly 4 years and 2 days apart-yes he is the older one! Our birthday celebrations seem to last for weeks and this year will be no different with my husband having a big bash in Vegas next month.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…we started celebrating last night with a little night away at the Inn at Little Washington. It’s a charming little Inn located in the middle of nowhere about an hour and half outside of DC. So…if I am a little late for coffee this morning, you will know why.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…it certainly doesn’t feel like November with these crazy warm temps we’ve been having. I am loving running in shorts and tanks while having the beautiful fall leaves to look at it. I know it won’t last long so trying to take it all in.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all! I love that Thanksgiving is not about gifts or religion but about family and tradition. I love cooking with my husband all day, smelling all the yummy smells and setting our tables with our best china. I am a vegetarian and I still love Thanksgiving. Since I’ve been upping my game the past year with all of my Meatless Monday recipes, I’m doubly excited to show some off this year. I will be showcasing my best recipes for Thanksgiving next week-you won’t want to miss it. This is one of my favorite family photos from 2013.

Do you love Thanksgiving?
If we were having coffee, what would you tell me??

Yes, I love Thanksgiving. Although it is not celebrated here, we are invited every year by a friend who does it, turkey and all ! The ovens here are too small to cook a turkey so he has to have the butcher cook the turkey. While I love it, it is somehow not exactly the same, as there is no football on tv ! Happy Birthday to you !
Yes I can see how it’s not the same but I hope it is still a special day for you. Thanks for the birthday wishes
I love love love Thanksgiving. I can’t wait to see some of the recipes you have coming up for Meatless Monday. Happy Birthday to you and your husband! Such a nice picture of you!
Ah thanks we had a really nice time last night. Totally over ate and drank
Happy Birthday! I love celebrations that last a week! or longer if need be! Yes Thanksgiving is one of my favorite, I love cooking all day with the hubby too and we have an open door policy. With 4 kids and their schedules and significant others we eat in shifts all day and that is fine with me 🙂 Love the pictures! Hope you are enjoying your getaway!
Ah eating in shifts? We haven’t tried that
Happy Birthday! My hubby and I are birthday twins as well. 3 years and 3 days apart (he’s older, too!). We’ve got the strangely warm weather here as well. Have a good weekend Deborah!
Thanks!! That such a coincidence about the beats but it’s fun to celebrate together
Thanksgiving is not my favorite holiday. With my mom, it was always too much: too much food (which assured nothing was at the right temp), too many people, eating too late.
This yr I get to do it . . .
Sounds like a great opportunity to switch things up and make memories ?
Have a great weekend! I’ve heard amazing things about the Inn! Enjoy!
Thanks! Its beautiful here but I totally over ate and drank last night
That’s a wonderful Thanksgiving pic. It looks like a football game possibly reflected in the background? Sounds about right for us! I do enjoy Thanksgiving (yay-no shopping!) and my MIL still hosts dinner so I have it very easy! Happy Birthday!
Yes football is always on! Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Happy Birthday! I’m all for birthday celebrations that stretch beyond just the day 🙂 It’s been very warm here too…but I’m not complaining 🙂
thanks! We do tend to stretch them out a bit but hey why not?!
Heck yes Thanksgiving. I do all the cooking, everything. I am nuts about it. We are still pretty warm here in California, but the mornings are finally chilly enough to feel like Fall. Happy birthday month, today is our 18 year wedding anniversary. I am looking forward to some date time with my husband 🙂 Happy coffee Deb
thanks! And happy anniversary to you I some some of your pics on FB. Time flies doesn’t it?
I love Thanksgiving, too! Hope you both have a wonderful birthday!
Thanks so much! so far so good
I seriously can’t beleive it’s November! I almost forgot all about this link up. Shame on me. Happy birthday!! I know what you mean about it being a busy month. I can’t even look at my calendar without cringing each time. It’s been fun doing the blog hop with you these past two weeks and kind of closing it out with this link up! But it’s definitely not the end. 🙂
Yes time is flying by! The blog hop is fun and I am glad we had a chance to connect more. See you around 🙂
Thanksgiving is also my favorite holiday. It is about acknowledging the simple blessings we have and an all day way of showing people you love them through carefully prepared food.
Yes exactly my thoughts!! Have a great weekend
LOVE the birthday photo! I’m all about long birthday celebrations. Pretty sure mine is all month long. Birthdays are important!
Yes they are! Thanks! We always seem to stretch all of ours out-good excuse right?
Awwww look at you two…so precious!!! Happy birthday to you both!
The weather has been AWESOME!!!
I love thanksgiving!!! My favorite holiday!
Enjoy your week and your celebrations!
thanks! so far so good 🙂
I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving food! Can’t wait to see your round up!
I love creating all the veggie sides for Thanksgiving. Look for a fun veggie this Monday and my round up next week. Have a wonderful weekend!
Love Thanksgiving! Can’t wait to get together with family! Wow! That’s nice you still have tank top weather!
I know it’s been crazy warm! We know it won’t last though
What a great coffee date, Deborah I too am looking forward to Thanksgiving, ok the food has a great part in that. I mean you get a free day to eat anything you want right? I do because I usually run the weekends long run on Thanksgiving. 🙂 Thanks for the link up, I enjoy it every month!
Yes exactly! I will be doing a long run that day too this year so good point! I love the coffee dates too
These coffee posts are so cute! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because of no gifts/religion and just celebrating family/tradition, too! I’d tell you that I’m sitting poolside as I read this on a yoga/meditation retreat with a friend of 30 years, and this was perfect reading for the occasion!
Ah so jealous that you are poolside! It’s been warm here but not that warm 🙂
Happy almost birthday! The Inn at Little Washington??? I hope you will tell us more – it has such an amazing reputation!
It’s a wonderful spot to spend your birthday or anniversary! I hope you have the chance to go out there. I wasn’t going to write a whole post about it because it sounds kind of snobby but happy to tell you all about it. We need another real coffee date soon 🙂
Happy birthday to you and your hubby!!! I hope you have a wonderful celebration! Fabulous picture of you two. =)
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, too. There are some really amazing vegetarian recipes out there! I’ve been wanting to try tofurky for the longest time – but in the meantime, bring on all the bean dishes and mushroom dishes!
Thanks! I am not a tofurky person but stay tuned for all my favorite veggie thanksgiving recipes next week for meatless Monday!
Happy early birthday to the both of you! Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday since it tends to involve a bunch of good food and awesome company! :]
Exactly my thoughts and thanks for the early bday wishes!
Happy Birthday to you and your husband! You guys look terrific for your celebration!
I don’t love Thanksgiving. We typically go on vacation, but we will be in Ohio this year visiting family which will be nice, too!
Well I hope you manage to have a nice thanksgiving anyway. I did not use to like it as much until I started putting my own touches into it.
Thoroughly enjoyed our coffee date 🙂 Hope you and your husband had an absolutely wonderful birthday.
Up Now: A Nob Hill Lace Affair with Schutz Shoes
We really did thanks! We always seem to have a prolonged birthday celebration 🙂
I love this coffee date idea, and even more, I love your outfit for your birthday celebration! Happy birthday to you and your hubby!
Ah thanks so much! The coffee date is lots of fun hope you will join us next month! First Saturday of the month
Happy birthday to both you and your husband! I’ve always wanted to stay at the Inn, or at least grab a nice bite to eat there 😉
Thanks it’s gorgeous I hope you all have the chance to go eat there sometime it’s quite the experience.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday too for the exact same reasons. That is a great family photo. What a beautiful family!
Before I run off, I want to wish you and your man a very happy birthday month! Have fun celebrating with friends and family!
Aw thanks so much friend! Always seems like our birthdays stretch out for a few weeks. 🙂
Happy birthday week, birthday buddy! I met another birthday buddy at the AT&T store today. 🙂
Thanks for the linkup! It’s always fun to catch up.
It is! Hope you have a wonderful week
I love Thanksgiving too! I’m so happy that November has been much warmer than usual…I’m going up to Buffalo to have dinner with family, and it’s going to be one heck of a road trip!
Yes for sure and I suspect a lot colder up there!!
Happy (Belated) birthday to the two of you!! I hope you celebrated to the fullest!!
It had been unseasonably warm here for November as well, then last weekend we got hit with a full on snow storm and freezing temps! Now today (thanksgiving) it’s rainy and in the 50’s. I swear the weather doesn’t know what it wants to do!
Thanks and I know crazy weather for sure but I will take 50’s and 60’s in November anytime. Happy Thanksgiving
